Here be me prototype for an Innsmouth board. Bay, docks, seawall, FishPacking plant, Union Grocery with EOD in the background...
-
I love the layout so far... :)
-
Liking the dockside layout. You intending on having a few water bourn beasties coming out of it?
Wolt
-
Looking good. Merry christmas. Nice to see I'm not the only one cruising LAF on christmas day. :D
-
Might do a British version, Whitby or Skegness maybe..!

Shadow Over Skegness. Genius. lol

Well after seeing the awesome job you did on the Dunwich board I anxiously look forward to following your progress on this Innsmouth board, and incidentally thanks for sharing.
And to all the LAFers and Lovecraftian fans I'd like to wish a Merry Cthulhumas and a H*st*r New Year to all.
-
Indeed I do Wolt! I have a vision of the players participating in the Raid on Innsmouth, battling Hybrids, then Deep ones, and finally Uncle Mikes submerged giant Deep One (Dagon?) surfacing and heading towards shore whilst the players look on in terror...
-BTW thank you to everyone here for the comments and whatnot, Dunwich was my first board and I hadn't GM'd in 25 years!
-
Ooeeehhh nice!!! Keep it coming! Awesome so far!
-
Hint: Don't leave foamboard in the sun.
-
Some progress made inbetwixt Solstice celebrations. Board warping fixed by careful application of various heavy objects while paint and glue dried in evening sun..
-
Hint: Spray paint apparently has foam dissolving abilities. Can make for some interesting texture effects, however.
-
Awesome build, I love the Harbour. This could easily be used for a waterfront in New York. I'll be watching this thread closely.
-
Well this is coming along quick!
-
Looks great!
:-*
I am looking forward to seeing this finished.
-
The beginnings of some beachfront property...
-
Ooh, an expansion board already! Now, this looks interesting, any hints on what you might have planned for this?
-
All I know is I'm not going for a swim! No sunbathing either.
-
I'm watching from my fishing boat far out to sea. Nice view from here.
-
I'm thinking some old seaside manors, something along the lines of the Innsmouth Hamptons? Or perhaps some sort of shanty area. Also, I need a name for the "beach"...
-
Martin's Beach?

Like!
-
Here are some details, including but not limited to: ham-handed water effects (low tide), Secret Sewer Entrance, fish packing plant boat unloading crane covered in resin when it fell in not yet dry water effects, and Martins Beach rocks and dirt and foliage and stuff.

Liking this. Sorry to hear about the setback.
-
THX! No big setbacks other than my own impatience and disinterest in reading directions.
-
Looks great so far. Whats the plans for furnishing the town?
-
I have been using a lot of O scale model railroad stuff. I thing the MTH Grainery would make a good Marsh Refining Company with some smelting type stuff stuck to the side of it. The Steam Era Structures Munitions Plant would make a great Gilman House Hotel.
Probably have to scratch build them though. I'm working on the Marsh mansion right now. I Saw a post for a set of shacks from th UK that looked good and well priced to use as houses, I will have to track them down after work...
-
Beach Party!
-
Cool project. What are you using for the cobblestone paths/roads?
-
They are from a large roll of Xmas scenery that was 80% off at a large craft chain called Michaels. I will see if I can find the manufacturer. I did see someone else mention using it on another post...
-
The roll of cobblestone looks like it is from Lemax. http://www.lemaxcollection.com/enhancements/landscaping/large-pebble-mat (http://www.lemaxcollection.com/enhancements/landscaping/large-pebble-mat)

that was it! THX!
-
Some Innsmouth folk...
-
They've got the look, to be sure!
-
Nice looking boards! Looks like they will be fun to play on.
-
Great looking folk. Keep seeing these models appear and the "want" itch is starting up. Where are they from? RAFM?
-
The hybrids are from Rattrap. They seem to be getting hard to find for some reason....
-
I LOVE all this marvelous gameboard.....all except the miniatures bases lol ...maybe they're too tall
-
I agree they look pretty dumb like that.
-
I think black cats do some hybrids as well..
-
Those deep 'uns and hybrids look great. Agree about the bases though. They look bizarrely tall.
Black Cat do excellent Hybrids marcusluis but I've been waiting for mine to arrive since August. They're really slow at the moment. There's a huge thread about it on the Commercial board.
-
Stunning!

Those are awesome. Now I feel silly.

Don't feel silly, I really like your board. Your harbour is really awesome! The problem sometimes on this forum is that all the work is so good.
-
Absolutely, your work is stunning!
If I had half your talent I'd be more than happy!
-
Nothing to feel silly about. Your board looks great. Plenty of room for different interpretations on Innsmounth. :)
