Title: Tin Soldier Fantasy minis question
Post by: beefcake on January 17, 2014, 06:46:37 AM
I recently found my first ever miniatures that got me hooked into fantasy miniatures and they were identified as Tin Soldier 15mm Fantasy miniatures and I'm inclined to believe them because I remember a lot of the stuff that was in the catalogue. As I only had their orc spearmen, bowmen and swordsmen (spearorc?) I was wondering if anyone had an pics of other miniatures in this range. Orcs on wolfriders, Great Goblins, Great Goblins on Tyrannosaurs and other things. Also if anyone has any pics of anything in their 25mm range I'd be happy to see them. My googlefu has been pretty poor at finding images and the site doesn't have any. I've asked if they have any pics at Tin Soldier but haven't received a reply as of yet (Not even a day yet)

Thanks

Beefy

I got a bunch of their 15mm many many years ago and (though still unpainted) they still stand the test of time. I did a recent small order to check out the 25mm and would advise you to stay away...the lizardmen are not very good at all. The 15mm were the same style as the old ones so I'd stick with them. The 25mm are definitely a different designer...the 15mm have a nice clean quirky cartoonesque fell to them...but in a good way  :D

Stunties has a few pics of 25mm Dwarves (only one the original type design, DF73) and 2 15mm.

Oh, just looked further and he has some 25mm up for trade;

Thanks, I'll be staying clear of those 25's I really liked the 15's so I'll get a test bunch and then get more if they are as I remember. :)
