new year new plans .
my project for 2014 is Inquisitor an Games Workshop game with 54mm figures .
I will run a game at the Hamburg Tactica in 2015 .
At the moment I donīt know what rules I will use and I didenīt have a plan about the scenario.
here are the first figures I painted .
you can see more at the gallery (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;cat=586;u=6) or on my facebook side ``Grimms Hangar``(https://www.facebook.com/pages/Grimms-Hangar/196455560521708)
please tell me hat you think about the project .
cheers Grimm

Looks great. I know your scenery for this will be superb and I can't wait to see it.
-
Like your paintjob!
The guy with the flamer is a conversion, right?
-
Well done, Grimm, looking forward to the Tactica 2015 :)
-
Lovely painting. The Inquisitor rule book is a fascinating read, but very clunky to play. However, the imagination in it more than makes up for the clunkiness.

-
Nice conversions. And good painting. :)
-
Good to see you back in action Grimm :)

It looks very promising. I am sure it will be a highlight for 2015 !
-
Very cool!
I am looking forward to seeing more!
:-*
Is it weird that 40k bores me, but I love Inquisitor stuff?

Nope!
That covers me, too.
Inquisition stuff and the Horus Heresy still intrigues me, but bog standard 40:...no thanks.

Hey all I make the pictures in the gallery a bit smaller and I post some more stuff into it
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;u=6;cat=586
thanx for all the nice replays and you are so right that the good old Rouge Trader backgraund is much better ( in my eyes ) then the new stuff for 40k.
Inquisitor is an `` going back to the old days`` for me ,ok in a bigger scale lol
but now back to work ,unbound deamonhost ,

now the pictures work ,sorry :)
-
Grimm, that's very scary, which is good :) Well done!
-
thanx Prof. !
yeas you are right ,it scary me too .
As I get the figure I was not sure how to paint it. Most paintet version of the figure ,I have seen, are more an bright astral body but the model has some dead body parts on the base ,so I came up with an other idea.
this is the 21+ version of the deamonhost ,bloody and scary like a deamon should be . :)
-
Lovely (in a horrible way) :)
-
ok some more stuff .
Here comes a figure from reaper miniatures .I think it is a zombie giant but in 54 mm scale it is a normal plague zombie .
I will use him as an encounter in the scenario or as a member of a scavy gang .
Hope you like the paint job

Love the terrain in the background too! :-*
-
Excellent work :D
-
Lovely work me old chum, and here was me thinking all you did was 10 pin bowling and hanging around bars and clubs these days ;D ;) :D
-
A very nice collection you have there. The Inquisitor 54mm figures are some of my favourite GW models. You have some excellent conversions. I reckon I must have about 20 of these stored away, many of them still boxed.
-
Nice. Look forward to seeing more.

You're right Grimm! Your modelling and painting style is perfect for Inquisitor.
-
Intriguing!
-
shame on me forget to post the last mutant !! here he comes :)
Its a conversion made of an IQ figure and some plastic GW figures .I think the old chaos mutant head, frome the 28 mm figures ,looks good on an 54mm model ,or not ?
only one mutant left now ...back to work !

Great Job! :o
Love the models and the terrain, only problem is... Your making want to play Inquisitor again!
Though in all seriousness this is just awesome. I bet you'll have a blast playing this.
-
thanks meatpuppet .
I never played Inquisitor till now ,I think the rules are to complex for a tabletop game but I really like the background and the fluff of the game.I enjoy reading the rules with all the little stories.
For the tactica show I will use a combination of LOTOW and Necromunda rules they will work better for a fast gameplay, because of their easy rules set. For a participation game a good plan, I mean .
What do you think ?
-
Grimm,
Really great to see you back in action in a serious way. This really seems to have got your mojo working! Don't forget us Pulp guys though!

If you think the Inquisitor rules are too complex, why not use 'In the Emperor's Name' instead? Great for skirmishes, and made for use with the 40K background.

Lovely thread Grimm :-*

Thanx a lot marianas gamer, still wish to come to guam one day, :) also thanx to you Blackwolf and Argonor. I've never heard about ` in the Emperors Name` can you tell me more about it please ?

That scenery looks promising too.
It seems you have figured a way for it to be in both 54 and 28mm.
Clever.
