Very nice work! Love the wagons!Thank you :)
:-* :o
Fantastic work! :-*Thank you :)
How did you paint the green flames? The first layer is the paint 'Astronomican Grey' from 'Citadel Foundation'. The next step is to paint 'Dark Angels Green', which later mix with the paint 'Cygnus Yellow' from 'P3'. At the end of some 'Morrow White' from 'P3'. And the whole paint glaze 'Lamenters Yellow' from 'Citadel'.
How did u paint that blood? ;DIt's new paint from GW - Blood for the Blood God.
How did u paint that blood? ;DWell you can paint blood. The trick is to use a wide brush.
They look very nice QC, well done. You must be proud of how the came out.Thank you :)
Did you not fancy keeping the awnings a bit cleaner though? There is no time, there have to trade and fight ;)
That is a SPECTACULAR, INSPIRING scene with a FANTASTIC cast of characters. OUTSTANDING WORK!
where is the wagon in the background from?More about the wagon you can read HERE (http://quidamcorvus.blogspot.com/2014/12/straznicy-drog-z-averlandu-rekrutacja_12.html).
One question, why is the base so small? I prefer small bases but they must be at least big enough to get the whole model on. Its protects the it better when models get pushed together. The size of the base is in line with the rules of the game. :)
Great treasure markers - those coins look like they would have taken an age to paint to get the effect you have there.
I love all your Mordheim/Warheim stuff, QC. The new orcs look great: very 'old school'. I like their pinkish lips and ears and hands, as though their blood is still red!Thank you :)
You must have a vast and fantastic collection of painted minis by now.
Some nice painting in that link and here. Nice blues in particular.Thank you :)
Wow - these are lovely. The level of detail is excellent. It's probably a thick aluminum foil (do not know exactly how it is called) in which sometimes is packed shaving cream. I use this as an imitation metal on models.
What are "plates with shaving cream"?
Ahhhhhh - I only get my shaving cream in a pressurised can. I thought you were insane (only for a second ;) )!:D
A useful set nicely painted.Thank you :)
Brilliant stuff! :-* I've only caught up with this after a while(my bad)! All those wee details are going t be great for your games. In particular, the pattern on the camp blankets is a nice touch!Thank you.
I like how you've painted the crystals. How did you go about that? I'm asking because I'm looking to steal your recipe for it! ;) Although I'd be tempted to add a white highlight just for sparkles and light reflection.
What did you get?I get Flagelant (http://quidamcorvus.blogspot.com/2016/12/figurkowy-karnawa-blogowy-edycja-28_22.html) from Witold (http://inquisitorpl.blogspot.com/).
Great stuff, all of it! I really like the fallen zombies in particular.
Your statues are troopers from the old Bowmen of Oreon (http://www.solegends.com/citrr/1rr07oreons/index.htm) Regiment of Renown, by the way.
That is one EVIL looking Vertically Challenged Deviant. Your brushwork & color selection is as WONDERFUL as ever.Thank you very much DeafNala. :)
The shield is a DELIGHTFULLY creepy creation in its own right. VERY WELL DONE once more!
I just found this tread, and I will be proud lurker ;)Thank you. :)
The color choice and the painting technique are just beautiful.
Just saw this thread and started at the beginning. The cart and the treasure markers are really very impressive, very atmospheric.Thank you very much. :)
I just found this tread, and I will be proud lurker ;)
The color choice and the painting technique are just beautiful.
Great work on those creepy skin tones! :o is that all done with washes?Thank you. Yes, the skin is painted drybrush and washes. :)
Thank you. Yes, the skin is painted drybrush and washes. :)
A nice conversion.Thank you. :)
He is ugly. You're painting has really captured that ugliness!Thank you. :)
The greener side of life. :)Thank you. :)
Very very nice paintings, again.
Whenever I look at this threat I feel like I'm looking at a compilation of the best White Dwarf showcases from about ten years ago. Beautiful style.Thank you very much for the compliment!
What is the writing on the front?"Where was Grimnir when our warriors were dying? Where was Valaya when our children sickened? When we called out for aid in the deep places where we delved, it was not Grungni who answered our call, but mighty Hashut who delivered us in our time of need. Who are the real traitors here? Our kin who abandoned us to madness and death or we who only sought to survive against the forces of Chaos? One day there will be a reckoning and it will be the Sons of the Father of Darkness who will have the victory, not the weak willed spawn of the pathetic Ancestor Gods."
Nice work and lovely warband! 8)Thank you. :)
great work on the warband and Mordheim stuff.Thank you. :)
Looks great! But whatever happened to werewoolf miniatures? I have a bunch of their trees and thought about getting more after seeing your paint, but it looks like they've vanished. It looks like they have finished their activities.
brilliant work. very striking and refreshingly different style - not always my thing with the blood and guts, but look fantastic.
Your use of color is fantastic. Thanks for comments. :)
Very nice colour choice and painting. And I like the basing too.Thank you. :)
Lovely. With your (cross) hatching do you do it quickly or slow and carefully?Thank you. :) It's quick work, I don't do it very accurately.
Oh man, that's very nice!Thank you. :)
Your expressive painting style is great, and I love the content & variety in this thread!Thank you for the kind words. :)
That Mordheim town - it's from Terrain4Games, right? I have some of those buildings, but unassembled as of yet. Please, post pictures as you paint them!

particularly the lizardman 'chariot'.
Love the painting on that Lizard man army. :-*
Outstanding. Hyper-colourful, yet subtle at the same time. Haven't seen a paint-scheme/ technique quite like this before, and it's one of my favourites now :-*Thank you very much.
Beautiful work on those fruit trees. Lovely storytelling, too: The chopped wood, the basked of apples. Really want to move in for a few weeks enjoying autumn. Catch is, knowing your work there will be demons on the outhouse...
beautifully done.Thank you very much. :)
Such a lot of character as well as modelling skill.
Fantastic - like John Blanche paintings, only ... more so ;)Thank you for the kind words and criticism.
one thing I might say is that your photos are very contrasty and saturated- I get the impression they've been tweaked in the processing dept?
Not sure your painting style needs that - and it can make the figures a little hard to see clearly. Just my 2p worth anyway.
lovely work.Thank you. :)
very well done.Thank you.
I truly enjoy the houses and such. Very nice.Thank you.
love the eshin 'band. You've got such a great style.Yes-yes. Thank you very-strong much!

blimey, I've missed a few things haven't I .... lol :-*Thank you very much.
just the last chap, and lovely work on the shield would be enough to comment admiringly upon ... but then the workspace and dioramas ... just amazing :o ;D.
any one of them would be worthy of an in-depth post / photo-essay. Marvellous work.

Magic :-*Thank you very much. :)
That elf is excellent :-* :-* :-*Thank you. :)
Your Halfling force is wonderful - really like the "overgrown Halfliing" ogre mercernary.Thank you. :)
I like that high elf. It's got a different look to the colours often seen.Thank you.
In like those, the paintjob is subtle and gives them a real gritty look. Nice work, as always.Thank you. :)
A very nice collection, I like the overall vibe of Ostlanders!Thank you. :)
I really like that. Lovely paint scheme.Thank you. :)
That is a great flame effect - nicely done!Thank you. :)
great grime and weatheringThank you. :)
Love that, great face!Thank you. :)
lovely work on that begrimed high elf (blimey, he must be cheesed off - a long wait in the launderette for him !).
skink too.
Very nice use of a subdued palette.Thank you. :)
Great thread 8)
Lovely take on the High Elf colour scheme.Thank you very much. :)
Wow, and a very well deserved prize, by the look of those photos!
Congratulations on your win.Thank you very much. :)
Another lovely job. I very much like those bases too.
great stuff.Thank you. :)
congratulations on the award for those wonderful dioramas.
Lovely painting, particularly the metals.
Yeah, lovin' that, especially the thick mud caked on the bottom of his gear.Thank you very much. :)
powerful stuff.Thank you. :)
your take on the Chaos warriors shown in one pic is very well done.
I definitely want to steal that colour scheme! No problem! Thank you. :)
Particularly nice work on the axe weathering.Thank you. :)
I like the choice of colours you used on the skin of the lizardman and mount - the combination of green and rusty brown on the scales contrasts well with the pale blue-grey underside. Great work all around, really!Thank you very much. :)
Nicely done.
Thank you. :)
Always amazed by both the quantity and quality of your work. Bravo.Thank you very much. :)
Those are nasty looking lizards! I like the red and yellow combination.Thank you. :)

Very impressive gallery, I particularly like your high elves.Thank you. :)
They look amazing. Lovely Stuff as always. Extreamly inspiring.
I agree completely. These are a step outside the previous fantasy theme, but the painting is just excellent!Thank you very much. :)
Awesome job! Your painting style and the palette you chose really suits the model.Thank you very much. :)
Great work, thanks for sharing these miniatures.Thank you.
Great work! The mud on the cloak and boots, and blood on the sword really set the scene.Thank you. :)
Beautiful work! I like that theres a bit of inspirational light reading on the back of the banner, perhaps to keep the troops in the ranks from getting bored when waiting for the order to advance.
Thank you. :)
The banner is epic. The wine bottle in and is classic.Thank you. A bottle of good wine will always come in handy, and after drinking a drink, you can always hit an opponent in the head with a bottle.
I gather you need liquid courage to mark yourself out as a target.
Yet more beautiful work! Many have commented before (including me) that the mud on the cloaks and boots (and horse) helps create a really gritty feel, and Ill repeat it again- love the mud effect!Thank you very much. I didn't like the high elves painted clean and candy very much. That's why I decided to paint them as clean as I can, and then get them dirty. :)
Damn, check out those colours! That's a treat for the eyes and no mistake.Thank you very much. :)
More great work. Chaos hounds are always good to see and I found those models fun to paint.
What is "Warheim FS" that you've referred to? From the name and context of the figures I assume it's related to Mordheim somehow?
Nice doggy, here doggy, here...ARGH !!!!! :o :o :o:D Thank you. :)
Good paint job there mate.
More great work. Chaos hounds are always good to see and I found those models fun to paint.Thank you. :)

and love the chaos hound paint-job.
Wonderful figure.
That Silver Helm looks great, lovely colour choices.Thank you very much. :)
I'm sure I've said this before earlier in the thread but I love how you paint.Thank you very much. :)
Lovely painting, as we've come to expect! :-*
Beautiful model, but I cant see a chariot pulled by lions without remembering the scene in the Rome tv series where Mark Antony is complaining about paying a fortune for lions to pull his chariot and the beasts refuse to move. Seems very cat-like of them.Thank you very much. :)
Very good. Captured a really earthy look.Thank you. :)
Nice colour palette and gritty weathering. Great work.Thank you very much. :)
Those look great! Properly varied and chaotic, but with a consistent palette.
Some really cool Chaos monsters!Thank you very much. :)
The Altar of Khain
Great work 8)
And I just realized that this mini could be an excellent stand-in for Kaela Mensha Khaine in 40K :o
I mean; he's basically the same deity anyway...
Lovely effect you have achieved there.Thank you. :)
That's a cracking miniature and paintjob.
Now there's a right scary beast!Thank you. :)
And another wonderful paintjob as well... :-*
knock-out.
great work on the book.
Wow, that's impressive! :-*Thank you very much. :)
Thank you very much. :)

Nice, "Blood for the Blood God!" in the front, "Spank me daddy" in the back.Yes, he clearly shouldn't turn his back on the enemy. ;)
more fantastic work in your inimitable style Quidam Corvus.Thank you. :)
Is the spawn from Arlen, Texas by any chance?I don't think so. :) But my eyes, it's impossible to unsee! lol
It absolutely remind me of this
(https://i.imgur.com/krMtGpr.jpg)
Q, now these are some kind of special. Love them.Thank you. :)
That's got the perfect manky look and feel to it. Great work.Thank you. :)
Very nice. Really like the subdued pallet.Thank you very much. :)
Awesome models! Judging by the empty (and not-so-empty) bottles, they seem to specialize in hunting the contents of wine cellars and breweriesYes, an accurate eye for choosing drinks and a steady hand holding a bottle are his characteristic features. ;)
Nice work! 8)
And poor Amelia in the snow? Obviously she had some major compass problems during that last flight...
She looks very self confident despite her current circumstances. I think you got the jacket colour just right QC, it looks fantasticThank you. :D
Another outstanding build. :oThank you. :)
Grey Skull looks great!!Thank you. :) No, that's definitely not true. lol ;0
Some say he owns a vast castle in a mountain somewhere, some even say its shaped like a skull, surely that cant be true ;)
I've not seen that model before. I can't imagine he gets much scouting done! Lovely paintjob.Haha. Thank you. :)
Great additions 8)Thank you. :)
The bottle and floor texture looks amazing mate. :o 8)
I can see the little hobby horse chaps getting around your mordheim build. I find it quite amazing how your style changes between units, I can't do that haha
oh my - they have come out well.Thank you very much. :)
and now catching up with some of your previous postings (I haven't been browsing the 'fantasy' board for a while) - and it's all as brilliantly distinctive as usual.
Very envious / admiring of your painting skill / style.
Outstanding selection and paint as usual. :oThank you, I try it.
One suggestion as you are using lots of snow at themoment. To make effective slush try mixing your snow flock with gloss medium. You can trim the snowy patches with melting snow for that extra bit of detail.
This is some next level stuff- thanks for sharing! :-* :-* :-*Thank you. :)
Im a little late responding- but this looks fantastic! The colour scheme is gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing!Thank you. :)
Looks incredible! How long were you working on that one?Thank you very much. It's hard to say, because I paint the entire warband at once and I don't really count the time spent on painting. But I probably painted the entire warband, visible in the last photo, for about 40 hours.
Looks amazing QC, will be just wonderful in place on your board mate!Thank you very much. :)
More amazing work from you, I see. Thanks! :)
Very nice job, expecially for the composition!Thank you. :)
Lovely stuff! He looks appropriately grotty, lots of character :)Thank you. :)
Awesome stuff! The black and white palette looks great, and the green plumes really pop against the rest of the mini. The freehand on the banner looks amazing as well :-*Thank you. :)
Nice unit of musketeers, the colour scheme is a great choice and I was always a big fan of the Empire Militia kit.Thank you.:)
Fantastic work :DThank you. :)
