That first picture makes him look a little bit long of torso and short of leg.  Less obvious in the second picture though.  I'll be happy to take your word for it if you say I'm wrong.  :)

That's a nice one!
Any clue when they are to release him and under which label? Honestly, never heard of this company before. :o

Beautiful figure! He would be ideal for the new Gloire supplement.

Mel Gibson - who needs history, just write your own!

Twonk  lol

Brilliant figure. Must buy one if only to shoot it  ;)

Are there plans to do any of the other film characters?

Hmmmm....

This + "Among the War Parties" = A Good Thing.

Lovely figure. I wonder how he'll mix with the Conquest F&IW stuff???

I can't wait to buy and paint him so I can make him die a horrible slow death a la Colonel Crawford.

That first picture makes him look a little bit long of torso and short of leg.

So historically accurate for a Mel Gibson figure, no ?  :)
Great figure, but I have to get your arabs first.

Matt

Ha!

I've gotten some mail about this this morning. So, here's the story:

However you feel about the a certain movie, it was filmed in my back yard, literally. I grew up in South Carolina and they filmed this in and around my home town. There are a couple of scenes that take place on land we used to own.
A lot of my friends were ACW reenactors and the production company slurped some of them up to be extras in the film. Muskets are muskets, right? They had a lot of fun. A few weeks ago I was talking to one of them and he had mentioned that after all these years some of them had finally gotten into gaming. I had tried to prod them into it when I still lived near them and they have finally learned that running around in the woods with muskets is a younger man's game. Dice are so much less work.
So I commissioned tidyfiguremaker to do this sculpt so I could cast it up and send a bunch of them home to my old buddies. I'll most likely start selling it in late July. I'd like to get them theirs first!

I need a "Patriot" figure for my planned swamp fighting. Is this figure commercially available? I could not find it on Zombiesmith webpage?

very nice and inspiring sculpt

not necessarily anatomically incorrect, I think one could describe Mel Gibson that way too  ;)

Nice sculpt but doesn't look quite drunk or anti-semitic enough to be a decent likeness.

Like this?

I suppose you could always sculpt Mel with a copy of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion in his hands. His bizarre pro-monarchy stance you could proably cover off with a small crown or sceptre.

why don't we just stay with the movie, his character in the movie and it's period? :)
