Hi, I have been a long time lurker and finally while taking some shots of the stuff I painted last year thought it was time to post here. I'm a really slow painter, and haven't painted that much but I hope you'll like it. They will be used for Mordheim, and there may be more warbands coming up.
The Group shot

The group shot of the zombies was crap, but there are older pictures on my blog of individual minis, here is one of them:

I really got to get one of those backgrounds folks around here are using, where do you get them from? Calendars?
-
Nice work!
I enjoyed your blog too!
:D
-
COOL STUFF! The Gangs look TERRIFIC; the freehand on the shields is OUTSTANDING! VERY WELL DONE!
-
Thanks! But sadly those shields are not freehands, I cheated and used some transfers from LBM (http://www.littlebigmenstudios.com/catalog/). I tried an oldschool freehand on one of the zombies though, maybe I should try some more.
-
That Reaper vampire looks really cool!
-
WOW! those are ALL GREAT!! :o
-
Nice painting and a great Way to introduce yoursellf
-
That Vampire is seriously cool, might have to track one down myself. Awesome stuff.

It's this one https://www.reapermini.com/ShowcaseGallery/painted/latest/02867#detail/02867_Mattias.jpg (https://www.reapermini.com/ShowcaseGallery/painted/latest/02867#detail/02867_Mattias.jpg)
Here is a quick snap of a lotr mini I painted in the holidays. The thugs should be coming up soon, I gloss varnished them yesterday, still got matt varnish and basing to do.

Finished these Bruegelburg Thugs from Lead Adventure Miniatures this week. Fun to paint, so I will probably be getting more stuff from that range in the future. They'll be used as mordheim dregs but could be used as henchmen in most human warbands. I tried painting the eyes on the thug to the right, but the club was in the way so I just managed to botch the face ;D

Also managed to get a decent shot of Sam.

This is what I painted in February and March. Unfortunately I didn't really have much time for painting but here they are: an Otherworld assasin, citadel orc and my metal magic necromancer conversion. I'm really happy with how the shield on the orc turned out, much better than my previous attempt. Just need to get hold of more of these plastic old school shields!

The necromancer mini is quite crude, so I just did a quick tinting, wash and highlight on that one. The Otherworld assasin got quite a bit of attention, and I added some stubble as stonecoldlead did on his. The orc was painted using spooktalkers orc skin recipe (http://belchedfromthedepths.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/to-health-of-goblin-master.html), that P3 Necrotite Green fits like a charm.

GREAT ADDITIONS to the Project! The Necromancer is my favorite in the group....very expressive face VERY WELL DONE!

I painted these uruk-hai in February I think, but just now got around to posting them.
I haven't had much time for painting these last months but hope to get some painting done this weekend.

I tried speed-painting on these, using a limited palette: metals, skin and just grey highlights on black for the leather.
They turned out quite ok , but for the next ones I'll have to try some other color than black for the leather to make them pop.
Tried some renedra washer-style bases for these ones. I think they look much better than slottas. But cutting the tabs of is more work >:(
DeafNala: Hah, that necromancer is my least favorite and the one I spent least time on lol
-
Painted some goblins for Orctober, hope you'll like them. There are more on the way, in various stages of completion but I'll make no promises about those lol

Hi, I like your models a lot. It's ok to be a slow painter, when you have such good results. :)
Keep the good work coming mate! :)
-
Thanks for bumping this! I scrolled down and thought "what a great Vampyre!" --- then immediately saw my old post of "What a great Vampyre!"....
So I guess I should track one down and buy it! Two first impressions can't be wrong! lol

The new Goblin Guys are CHARMING little rogues...GREAT WORK!

Here's a link to the Vampyre: Reaper's 02867 Matthias the Twisted:

..he's my favorite Neck Man also.

Thanks for your kind comments. I try my best, but sometimes it's hard to find the time.
Elbows, it's a great model. I'd love to see your take on it ;)
-
I'll definitely be getting one. It mixes my two favourite alternate vampyre types: Count Orlock from Nosferatu and the fact that I prefer vampyres to be a bit more feral/savage. So that mini combines them both. Genius! lol
-
Well, I ordered the Vampire and then because I needed a few more bucks in the cart to get free shipping I grabbed up a half dozen of Tre Manor's Reaper miniatures...so...bonus! Thanks for the thread and the idea. It'll be a long while till he stalks the hallways of my dungeon though!
-
That's great. Looking forward to the pictures, even if it takes as long for you as it does for me lol
-
Crossposting from the Orctober thread (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=71606.0) here's a wip shot of the ones that weren't finished in time.
The goblins are from crooked claw, the orc is an old citadel sculpt.
-
UBERCOOL! Those are really some of the most personable Rogues...nice mushroom too. GREAT WORK!
-
Minis look great also loved your here there sign very funny lol
-
Thanks! I got the idea for the "here there" sign from a board game I played as a kid. Also works for any setting which I found very practical ;)
-
