Title: Martial Arts Figures
Post by: carlos13th on February 02, 2014, 06:33:40 PM
Hey Guys

Wondering if you guys know of any martial arts figures 28mm preferable. I know hassle free have some and so do cp models but do you know of any others.

I have a strong interest in Martial Arts having trained in a few styles over the last few years and I am curious whats out their on the market.

Don't mind if they are game pieces, dioramas ect, if they are attacking or defending even better. Even don't mind if they are in plain clothes but look like they are doing martial arts strikes or moves.

Mostly I am looking for the following Martial Arts but any will do:

MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Brazilain Jiujitsu, Wrestling, Judo and Krav Maga.

Heroclix: Boon, Shang-Chi and Arashi (he has a katana but I like it). Also the Street Fighter range but with lots of special effects and since I don't own them, I can't tell if they're easy to remove. There are some supers who could be of help too depending on what you're looking for: Cheshire, Wong, Seven Deadly Brothers (it(s actually only one mini), Fin Fang Foom :D, etc.
Reaper has some minis too. Often called monks I believe.

Pulp figures do some pulp era boxers, Dixons do some yakuza in martial arts poses, Brigade/rattrap do some Shaolin (although they are mostly armed) and ERM have some '80s sci fi' brawlers in their Neutron York range. ..

Would like to create a diorama of something similar.

Mega Miniatures made some Martial Artists... which are apparently now available from Turkey Minatures:

http://www.turnkeyminiatures.com/Martial-Artists_c_29.html (http://www.turnkeyminiatures.com/Martial-Artists_c_29.html)

they're definitely on the small-ish side of 28mm... and the poses aren't really great... but they're there, so I thought I'd mention them for the sake of completeness.
