Just to advise i have written my first book (with the assistance of S Summerfield) on the Spanish Infantry of the Early Peninsular War
covering in great detail the uniforms organisation and equipment of the
line and militia ..full of colour plates and all the information you will
ever need/ flags/facings/charts/orders of battle. this is Volume 1 of
a 2 volume set ..the second will cover Guard/Cavalry/artillery..(90pct done!).....hopefull release date 14.2.2014 at Salute.and again hopefully i will have copies to sell on my Gringo40s stand (price gbp35.00) hardback with the best illustrations available on this gloriously uniformed Army m regards Ged www.gringo40s.com :D

honest i love all the "latin" troop uniforms.........ironically i have a vast
amount of information on the late Napoleonic Italians..so who knows!

Did you or anyone announce this book on TMP? I don't visit much for personal/personality reasons but I have a lot of Nap war gamers who haunt those types of places.

Having read a number of books to find material for my Italian army (primarily for the 1812 campaign) it's evident that there are quite a few inconsistencies. Someone needs to put that right! I'll pre-order it now :D

Definitely! If you had an Italian range to match too, that would be great! There's a definite gap in the market for Italian officers.

Ged - I think I saw somewhere that this book goes up to 1811 (but can't find that now!) - how much space does it devote to the "later early" period? ( I am thinking about the regiments raised in response to the French invasion rather than the existing regiments).

the commissar........thanks for the interest i have taken all information
on all the units i could find up to about 1810 as after that it becomes
even more complex............and will be for another book. i think you
will be suprised how much i have crammed in on the later earlier units...
working on volume two at the moment 85pct done... :D
