Well I have been watching all the lads having fun in the VSF baord ;D and thought about a new project but after a while decided against it. Instead I dug out my 1st edition of the Great Rail Wars after a good read in the throne room I was inspired.
So I have orderdd some of the Wyrd minis, won 12 foundry zombie cowboys from e-bay and then picked up the pdf copies of the 2nd edition and the add ons.
I already have a scratch built wild west town and lots of cowpokes etc
Now I can build on this with some ACW troops, pulp figures and some steam tanks. It would appear I can even fit in some of my Horror figures and my Pulp Cultists...yeehaw :D

Tell me that you ordered the Ortegas!

Awrighty, zombo cowpokes.
Deadlands for the win!
-
sounds fun. Photos please :)

Yep the Ortegas, the Death Mrshalls and the Ratcatcher to be my Houngan :D

Haven't played western gunfights for years - but a steampunk version could be great as an occasional change of genre. Check out the latest Wyrsd release:

Cool or what?

I thought the Wyrd minis were too big??
I also recently bought one of those zombie cowboys blisters :D

The others I already have certainly havent been they are tall and thin with more human proportions but not so as you would notice. Even if they are I dont think it will be too noticeable

OK, I might go there, too, then :)

My Wyrd figs mix in fine. They are similar in height to GW, Warmachine etc but better proprtioned so I don't mind in the slightest.
My Deadlands campaign is now in full swing and I intend to run a few battles around it to add to the story line.

Excellent, would love to hear about it. IIRC you are using the RPG?

Glad to hear that - they have some mighty fine sculpts that i would love to add to my collection (and to my games, when I finally get that far....)

I use a few Warmachine figs as a Firefly style Aeronef crew. Not found a way to work them into anything yet but they look great :D
The Wyrd figs stand taller than my Parroom and Artizan but as they're well proportioned they don't seem as big unless you have them side by side.
Yes, I'm running the RPG. Is there somewhere to describe it? Don't want to upset anyone who's not interested ???

Why not here or another thread I am sure no one would mind :)

Some good stuff in the old Deadlands range.
Brigade Games also makes some Gaslight figures that have a weird west theme.
At the moment I'm debating whether to sell all my weird and regular west minis or to hang on to them as I really do like the subject.
