Hollow resin, prepainted greenish grey with gold detailing [though I'll repaint mine] 7" tall and for only $2.49 each. ;D
I got 3 so far!
They're in the lizard decor section, not fish aquarium stuff.
Name: Buddha Warrior Large
by Blue Ribbon Pet Products
And no its not on the Petco website, I looked.
Good hunting.

$2.49?! ;D ;D Holy crap, that's a great find! ;)
-
That is really nice. :-*
-
Nice. I'll be there today. Thanks.
-
One of my favourite places when I'm in the US. Nice find!
-
Sometimes I REALLY hate Americans and their shops :-[

Jealous!

Wow, that's a great statue. The cheapest I can find it is on Viovet for £5.76 +P&P (http://www.viovet.co.uk/Blue_Ribbon_Aquatic_Ornaments/c14539/?quick_find=145225&gclid=CJz98qu87LwCFQ_HtAodpRkAHw)

Thanks for the heads up. I went out this morning and grabbed one for my pulp adventures. 8)

Thanks for that link, I've bought one, p&p was £1.95 first class so quite reasonable. I bought a couple of other ornaments as well as Amalric's great find. I will post a photo here when they arrive.
-
Just picked one up about 2 hours ago.
Thanks for the heads up.
-
I had no idea the lizards rated their own decor. What have I been missing all these years by limiting my visits to the fish? You've open my eyes to a whole new world. Really nice piece. Thanks. Richard

Here is some inspiration on how it might be used. I think you'll see below in these historic illustrations, blood thirsty heathen idols are often armed with nasty bits of cutlery.

Hmmm, how to articulate the sword arm?
Ray Harryhausen would know.
Pulp, ya gotta Love it!

Holy Christmas Biscuits! Damn, I wish I had a Petco nearby now!
Anybody know if there's a store in Canada that carries those Petco products? (Petsmart does not).
-
Thanks for posting the sale.
Picked up two of the $2.49 ones yesterday, plus a larger head-only ruin of similar style/origin for $3 and change.
With four of the sword-weilding pieces and two of the big heads, I can take the hammer to one of each for some ruins/rubble pieces.
Didnt see that giant temple, so will have to make a return trip...

As i use deco for my gametable i am always searching (but not as hard as the budget is quite limited) for new ones. Blue Ribbon came to my attention just recently and i am now trying to get a retailer here in Holland to order some stuff for me. The two picture with this reply are some of the ones that are on my want-list. Beavers and ducks! Do I have a wantlist?????-)
-
Picked up a couple of the Angkor gates for $10 last year,
http://www.petmountain.com
Now they seem to be out of stock. They do still have a tribal-looking stone face gate, slightly over scale but could look good especially with some vegetation glued to it. And spongebob easter island statues.
-
I picked up two of the Buddha Warrior/Large today for $2.48 each. Very happy. Really appreciate the posting. I drop by Petco several times each year to see what's new in the fish tank decor world. I've walked away with some nice stuff. It's a place well worth checking. Pet Smart also has some nice things from time to time. Thanks again for the heads-up. Richard
-
In the UK Pets-at-Home sell similar stuff, but it's only occasionally in stock.
-
Thanks for the heads up... The local Petco had 2 warriors and 1 buddha head left--great head start on a jungle table...

Yes, petmountain have a nice supply including the Angkor Wat gate. However, i'll first try to source it locally and meanwhile contact them on what the shipping will be. Might be a last option.

Awesome...heading out to Petco tonite...assuming I have one in town!
Thanks....

Ran to my local PetCo to see if they had a large Buddha head mentioned early and found one. Then I took a look in the fish tank area and found this...
It was not on sale so it cost me 19.99 but I could not resist this for my jungle table. Awesome! ;D ;D ;D
If we keep this up we may want to invest in PetCo stock. lol
-
Warlord, that house and the temple above have been on my list for awhile, I just need the $.
They should look awesome painted up and on a jungle table!

I followed your link and bought these three, less than £20 for all three including postage. A good deal I thought!

True, so true.

Here are some photos of some of the aquatic ornaments I have bought. These are the ones that seem primarily to have a jungle theme (the others are mainly Egyptian).

I tried to post yesterday but PhotoBucket wasn't having any of it!

Thanks for taking the trouble of making the pictures, I know for sure I will buy them now (after some saving off course/talking to the misses)
Cheers and thanks again,

No, two came this week with that Torii gate pictured previously, the rest I bought over the last six months or so, I keep looking for a sale before I buy them! ;)
-
I finally got down to our local Petco tonight and found two of the Buddha Warrior statues. Thanks for the head up!
-
I really like the tori gate.
