Title: Current status of Obelisk Miniatures ranges?

Does anyone know whether anyone has picked up the Obelisk Miniatures ranges by Josef Ochmann? The gangs and the African ranges, I mean...

I bought some Obelisk miniatures at the end of last year (I live in the UK). Had trouble buying them online so I sent them an email and they got back to me quickly. Very friendly, fast, and the miniatures are great!

on the obelisk site, all items are "Currently unavailable "
seem's that the obelisk range is manufactured under licence by black cat bases ltd (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=59375.0) ...

I hope they show up again. I didn't receive the Baluchi zombies on foot that I ordered when he was closing down, maybe they're on the way now. Plus he was out of stock on the Tongs.

Too nice figures to just disappear.

Never heard about them before...Tribal warrio padding, African Amazones and above all those various tools ecc..seem very useful also for someone who stick on pure colonials settings..but are they compatible (both figures and accessories) with other historical colonial ranges? (Foundry, OG ecc...)..i know, from personal experience, that fantasy conceived stuff is frequently on the big size

Sorry for the threadomancy, but does anyone have any updates on the status of the Obelisk ranges?

With Obelisk closing last year, and Black Cat Bases having issues, I was wondering about the status of these excellent figures, especially the Chinese. I would be great if they saw the light of day again.

Hear nothing,last stand was that of Joseph would sell the forms if anyone is interested, if I remember correctly.
Blackcat I ordered the Tongs. Neither was something shipped yet responded to inquire.

Wasn't there something online recently about some company taking over some of the ranges. Unfortunately, there are so many Black Cat/Hat/Bat etc companies out there that they all become confused with each other. The result being that when I saw the notice I wasn't sure which company it involved.  :(

I succesfully ordered several miniatures from Obelisk by sending Josef an email a couple of weeks ago. He responded really quick and was very generous fullfilling distinctive wishes for special miniatures from random sets.

I ordered all chinese, the touareg footslogging zombies, one camel command zombie and two other camel zombies. Only product he could not manage to deliver was a set of pavians.

Regarding Black Cat Bases, I wrote to them and never received an email. I fear they are down. Would be a pity, they have some unique models.

Empress Miniatures have just released the Tong sets. Seems they have the rights now.

it's tsuba miniatures who have the Tongs ... empress is just distributor ...
