Nnoooo...not the prof! Not when he does shields like that!
I have a feeling I'm going to get taken to school by the prof... :D
Great little scene there Alex!
Cheers,

Haha, I can relate to that! :)
But in truth this is a very tough call, both entries are excellent! Kudos to you both, both works to be proud of.
Thanks

Love this entry Blue! Both are exquisitely painted...but those old chaos guys really look flash!
-
Oh my, this one is going to be neck and neck I think. Great painting!
-
But Blue, your blending is among the best I've ever seen...
Hm, but the the Prof is the Prof and... Oh wow, I hope others more wise than me can decide.

Thanks, Chris! Your colourful Citadel buggers are one of my top favorites this round. Fantastic smoothness and a great choice of colors. And I bet on you this round so good luck :)
-
Yes, a real tough call.
Much as I love ancients and the Prof's fabulous freehand shields, those Chaos figures are wonderfully shaded Blue...
-
Two fantastic entries. :o
For the voters, a difficult choice.
-
Fantastic entries from both of you :) So much to like about both entries. Well done.
-
Both great. The tones on the emblem of the blue armored guy's shield is impressive all by itself :)
Professor's got a wealth of details, and well done too...
Tough call!
-
This was one of the toughest yet - and one of my favourite rounds too, in part driven by the quality, in part for the nostalgia factor of the old chaos types.
-
Hmmm. 98 all as things stand. That has to be lining up for one of the tightest matches so far... :o
-
I've decided to collect DNA a,d build a super LPL painter, and I think I'll start with Blues shading strain!
-
Both very nice entries; it is a very tough decision.
-

Yes I thought that was the standout part of an amazing job, and it's an old citadel/marauder shiled I have never been hot on...
-
Neck to neck.
OMG! I just submitted a tie breaking vote!
Good look to both entries.
Now I'm going to throw my brushes away... :-X
-
Thanks to all for the kind words...its quite an pleasure to be going up against such a wonderful competitor as Prof W....and to be hanging tight with him on the score...it is certainly keeping me on the edge of my seat...and if my wife sees me checking the score one more time she will mock me a second time!

I chose this shield because it is one that is hard to fit properly on most Chaos Dwarfs...it is just too big...but it fits well with the CWs. Also this particular emblem acts as an "echo" of the Warriors helmet...it has the same downward curving horns...once I made that mental connection I knew it was the right shield for this model.
Cheers for now...off to hit the refresh button until I fall asleep... o_o lol

169 to 173 after I voted... this one is going to go down to the wire, I think!
Awesome paintjobs on both, as always Blue's blending is staggeringly good and Prof's scene-setting is first rate. Need a "Both" button!
-
Too close to call! Two beautiful entries - shame I can't vote for both!
-
very tough choice but I just couldn't resist the call of chaos ;)
-
No wonder that there is draw…two fantastic entries ! :o
-
The most difficult decision this round I think. Well done to you both.
-
OMG! I just submitted a tie breaking vote!
Hey, I submitted a tie breaking vote too! I'd bet there are a lot of them this round!
Wonderful entries gents!
-
Possibly the closest ever? I remembe theat Capt Blood was in a nail bitter a few years ago, but not sure it was this close!

Last year Blackwolf and I tied a match at precisely 50/50 :o
-
That was a very tricky one- both really well painted and hard to choose between them. In the end nostalgia may have got the better of me! ::)
Darrell.

Amazing....nearly 500 votes cast and we are only separated by 5 votes....thats 1% people!!!! :o o_o
