The knocked over chairs are a nice touch, Gemgames and also like the bamboo bushes of yours DrMathias.
-
Not fair , both so good this is the first one I have had to think about well done both.
-
Not usually a fan of Zombies but in this case...Excellent scene and well painted.
With giant toad and antagonists, love the flags/banners especially. And must know where the toad comes from?
-
The lighting in the Zombie Strip Club is a nice touch and really add to the scene (along with those knocked over chairs). I also like the matching bases. The more I look at this entry, the more I like it! Very well done.
It's never easy when you draw against Dr. Mathias though ;) Loads of top quality details packed into that scene. I'm drawn to the ladybird back banner and great colour choices on the Hikigaeru armour.

The toad is from Tengu Models:

Really nice casting, and fun to paint.
The Eureka Miniatures rabbits are the last of the bunch, I finally finished the warren :)

Great bit of storytelling with the chairs, excellent color and really clean linework around the thongs. Very well done!!!

Tough call- I love the staging on the zombie strippers, but then I love samurai bunnies...
-
Gotta say it'sthe first time in my life I have had to decide on the relative merits of zombie pole dancers and samurai rabbits fighting a toad.
-
Oh wow. Dr Mathias, your set is beautifully painted and staged (as always). I particularly love the work on the frog and your amazing metalwork on the swords. Congratulations! It's always an honor to lose to you! :D
I was looking into bamboo for an earlier set, but couldn't make it work. What did you use there?
Bill

Lovely colors, Dr M. A very LPL scene, GG. I love it.

I have a bamboo tutorial in the 'Arboreal' link in my signature.
Truth told though I bought a bunch of commercial a few months ago, and if it had been on the market a few years ago I wouldn't have spent the time making it:

It looks pretty good IMO, I'll mix it in with the stalks I have made that I haven't mounted yet.

Is that not Hypno-toad from Futurama?
Great work on both gents!! :o :o
-
I back thet toad, he has a crazy as sh1t look in his eye...
-
Two great contributions. Your Rabbits are really something unusual Matt. 8)
-
Where did the zombie strippers come from?
-
The zombies are all Reaper Miniatures. The two more clothed ones are actually nurse zombies.
-
That poor toad, just relaxing by a rock when a bunch of homicidal bunnies jump him...
I love both of these, but the "reflected" stage lights on the bases of the strippers put that one over the edge.
-
Oops. That's awkward. Those base reflections were actually light reflections--not painted reflections. :)
-
The green and blue reflections are actually from your lightsource? Well kudos still for using colored lights for that strip club feel!
-
We had rabbit for lunch on Sunday- never felt so guilty in my life!
Never had hare though.
Fab entries but I think the little critters eventually pipped the post IMHO.
Darrell.

This little group appears to be pretty malicious, if it was related to these guys you can rest easy ;)
Was is hasenpfeffer? I only know it through Bugs Bunny cartoons!

Really? What did they eat? *rimshot*
Best chicken salad sandwich I ever ate was really rabbit salad. Yummy.
But on the miniatures... I love zombies, and I love samurai. This was hard.
Dr. M: My son has some samurai bunnies that he bought for dear old Dad to paint for him three years ago at Historicon. They are still in their packaging. So, good for you! And well done, too!
GemGames: The story you tell is again, really great.

After seeing real bullfrogs in action over here, I imagine those bunnies just tracked that frog down because it ate their entire extended families...
And for this current battle, that frog will get at least three I'm sure. In fact, despite the blades, I'd put my money on the bloody frog!
Thanks
