Title: Bauhaus Armoured Hussars "Juggernauts", Warzone Resurrection
Post by: 14th brooklyn on April 19, 2014, 10:59:02 AM
As indicated in yesterdays post, just posted some pictures, background and painting notes on my Armored Hussars, for Warzone Resurrection:

Nice work on some dreadfully proportioned miniatures.

When these were originally touted as Vulkans, my heart sank. Fortunately, they made the Vulkans like walkers and I was happier with that. These though... the torso is too long the hips are too thin and I dread to think what the werer would look like outside of the suit... not good at all.

But you have made a nice job on making the best of them :)

Thank you!

I was quiet happy they did a revised version of the Vulkan.

The funny thing is... I was never too sure about the Juggernauts myself. One of the interim concept arts looked pretty good, but I was never too keen on the final artwork. But when I painted them up this week, I felt they are really gorgeous. It is hard to show on the photos as well, but when you see them IRL they look like a realistic exoarmour. Now that they are finished, I am happy I have 6 of them!

You've done a nice job on them and I think that as long as you are happy with them, then they are excellent :)

Nice clean paints. :) I keep thinking when it comes time for me to add these to my Kev White Bauhaus, I'll bodge something from Dust Tactics minis with WZ2ndEd bits. :)

Thanks!

I think the Kev White ones were pretty cool as well. Those are minis I have always hated to have sold!

Something else you might want to look at could be Eisenkern. When Imdid these, I thought that they might be a good match looks wise and someone commented the same on my Vulkan suits.

Yeah, they make good space germans (that's kinda the point I imagine!).
