In 1947 Aliens landed at Roswell New Mexico, in 2007............THEY CAME BACK!
Situation Room INEPTT Battle HQ, Chicago Illinois.
Battle Watch is monitoring all Satellite links and have picked up a large contact moving on a trajectory towards the southern United States. Alert Force 3 (two six man teams) located in INEPTT training centre Chaves County New Mexico were put on high alert. Contact was tracked and identified as landing at Roswell, New Mexico. Battle Watch Commander Major Nathan Lamond contacted Roswell Police department but they would have little more than 15 minutes before the XRAY ship would be landing somewhere in Roswell. Alert Force 3 was mounted into HUMVEE Specials and moved off towards Roswell, not more than 3 miles distance.

Aliens have landed and are disembarking their craft, a Gilan and a Firefly attack ship lead the way.

The Saurans are pouring out of the craft, this is no snatch and grab landing, this is a full on attack.
The police chief of Roswell, Sam Francis, was dressing his 6 men in tactical gear, body armour, helmets the whole nine yards, he was determined to take down a few XRAYS and try and hold them up if he could. Sam was a Gulf war vet and was not afraid of a few lizards from outer space!

Citizens armed with pipes, sticks, some guns and anything else they could carry rush head long towards the Sauran craft.

Sam and his men spill out of the police station onto the street and a fire fight ensues with the surrounding Saurans. Out gunned and not having the body armour of the XRAYS, Sam's men fight bravely but are being cut down by the Aliens. They do take out one Sauran, but the fire power of the XRAY's is just too much!

The Firefly opens up and destroys the two police vehicles and kills two officers at the same time.

The citizens close and open fire with their pistols and Uzi's on the Gilan but the beast armour is more than proof against the 9mm weapons.

One of the Sauran sections moves to flank the citizens, the police are falling back but their numbers dwindling quickly. Still only one dead Sauran, but the cops and citizens are falling in droves!

Bad just got worse, heavily armoured and armed Assault troops unload, they wear Sauran soldier armour which is even better than the regular Sauran armour. These guys are impervious to anything the cops or citizens have.

The Improved .50 cal sniper rifle is deadly in the hands of a trained sniper! Even the Sauran soldier armour is vulnerable to this nasty weapon!

Going house to house the Saurans kill any citizens they can find, these terror raids feed the frenzy of the Saurans. They run into the mayor of Roswell, Janice Fitzgibbon. But Janice is a tough lady and is armed with a 9mm. She fires at point blank range and hits the lead Sauran in the eye, dropping him like a stone. But a blast from a plasma rifle ends her life.

The Firefly fires into a couple of INEPTT agents but the Milan fires and destroys the craft in a spectacular explosion!

The Gilan pursues the fleeing citizens of Roswell, with the only two police officers still alive, the morale of the citizens falters and they are easy prey for the hungry Gilan.

Charging the team lead for D3B, Lieutenant Emry Kilback, the Gilan is destroyed by the combined fire from the .50cal, the Milan and fire from Emry and his remaining Agent.

X2D team gets set up in optimal fire positions and watch the Saurans move into an ambush.

Order is given to open fire and in a one way show X2D all but destroys the flanking Sauran group.

With the sniper taking out two of the Assault team Saurans, they sense there is big trouble and the lizards start rushing back to their craft.

A rear guard action is destroyed by a hail of gun fire and the Sauran Assault commander is badly hurt by the sniper.

You can just see the head of the Sauran Assault commander (White lined Helmet) as his troops route back on the Sauran craft.

Its all over, the Saurans escape with three troopers left. The Assault Commander is left to be ....... questioned!

Bleeding and exhausted, the Lizard commander knows that his will not be a quick ending.
The Attack on Roswell was played on a 4 x 6 foot table using INEPTT Genre 3 weapons and abilities. Took about 55 minutes start to finish. I gave all citizens a very generic package of stats (no abilities).

Shawn, your games are buckets full of mayhem! Oh the carnage! What fun!

This one was a blast Gary. I made the civilians have a really brittle morale structure. If they rolled a 5+ then they attacked the Saurans by the quickest means possible, which of course they did. I used the what you see is what you get concept with their weapons and their stats were pretty poor. Once they ran into something (like the Gilan) they had to test morale to see what would happen, and as luck would have it they rolled a 4+ and ran as quickly as they could. I made the police a bit sterner and as long as their chief was on their feet they were immune to morale checks. All in all it worked really well! Next time I am going to have players take charge of the Saurans instead of the game master and then we will see what happens :D

I have some of the same models and buildings in my own collection too - its always interesting seeing what other people have done with them.
