Title: What belongs in the Far East
Post by: OSHIROmodels on May 13, 2014, 11:50:33 PM
Welcome to the Adventures in the Far East board.

This sticky is to let you know what's suitable for the board and what's not :)

Generally anything in the Far East from ancient times up until the colonial period and including the wars in Japan towards the end of the 19th cen will count; of course if there is any doubt then please ask we'll get you sorted. For example, Chinese Warlord armies will stay in the BoB board and WWII Pacific action will stay on the WWII board etc.

For locales, pretty much anything regarded as the Far East will do, just use your common sense. Places can include Tibet, Mongolia, the Philippines and accompanying islands and of course the more well known locales such as China and Japan.

There is also a place for fantasy in the board but only if there is a definite link with the Far East and not just a random selection of figures labeled in a particular way. Good examples are Chinese ghost stories, Bushido (the game) and tales of myth and legend from Japan, to name but a few.

Of course, there might be some confusion but as mentioned before, don't hesitate to ask and we'll set you straight. Either post your questions in the board or send me a pm  :)

cheers

James (Adventures in the Far East moderator)
