I have just launched a new Kickstarter campaign for a new resin battle tank kit. The model is called the Battle Dog, or the kit can be had as a mobile artillery version named the Püg (as in Stüg ;))
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/179741323/battle-dog-and-pug
The kit ships with 5 main weapon options and some a selection of secondary armaments.

Here are the guns:

The Püg is the same kit, but without the turret. It has the hatch bit instead, which opens the same as the hatch on the turret.

Both kits come with two crew for the top hatch, a commander and a pintle gunner. They have separate heads, so the middle image shows them with another head from the Ramshackle Games range.

If I get enough interest I will do some sponsons and extra armour. I put these in as stretch goals.

Stil moving in on 40K guard then? :D
Very nice looking tough!
-
I quite like the Pug in particular.
The WWII in space thing doesnt usually do much for me, but with the big plasma weapon I think that I can find a home for that. I blame World of Tanks ;)
-
Haha! Im going to be doing some space dwarves after this campaign.

lol lol
I must say there is something about your tanks, something in their lines that I prefer over their counterparts I shall not name.
-
a smaller turret option would be interesting, looks just a tad too big at the moment for me, chassis is useful regardless :)
-
actually, it's not the size of the turret I think after all, more it's sitting up to high from the body, easily fixable.
-
For some reason I look at the SPG and think "Quar" :)

This. The size and height of the turret looks off. The Püg is bags of awesome though

The PüG is really cool!
-
Really like the tank, but I'm with the others that say the turret sits to high over the body. Is there an intermediate piece that could be left off to make it flush with the body?
-
süperb! i like the Türret,very KV-2 methinks :P

Like the pug. Needs a long tank hunter barrel option.

It has that feel but it is raised from the tank deck and quite large. I suspect that I might not mind it being large but the additional space between the turret and deck looks odd to my eyes.

Yes and I will make a piece that is lower, so the turret fits better on the body.
Also both kits come with all the main guns, so the long barrel is pretty long.
-
Interesting design. Like the others, I particularly dig the assault gun/tank hunter option. My first thought was KV-2 as well...
I think a nice idea (as an option?) would be an ammo crane like the Sturmtiger, etc. So that if you use the heavy assault gun barrel (the short, fat one), you can add a crane to the decking somewhere.

I don't play 40K and honestly couldn't see myself buying one of these for any real reason, but it's definitely got some charm to it.

Well, I got double the funding goal on day one, and cracked both the "stretch goals" within a few days, so I have been workingon the extra pieces. I have done the sponsons, so all the tanks will ship with 2 of them. See how they are designed to cover the door on the tracks? Here is a look at them:

I have some more images ot show of the bits Im doing. Some are for the stretch goals and some are based on feedback from backers and on forums.
Backers will be able to choose either the spaced armour or two sponsons on each model.
I also lowered the turret a bit with a new fitting.
There is a ballistic shield for the gunner on the Pug now too.
The images also show rulers for size reference.

The skirted assault gun is my favourite (still all a bit too 40K for me - for obvious reasons!). Lovely lookin' work though.
-
Well, it funded! Nice one to all the backers, thanks for the support. It should take about 10 weeks to get all the models cast and sent.

I put up the Battle Dog and Pug in the web store. These were the end result of the Kickstarter, which I delivered on. The parts are all available separately too as usual. And dont forget, Ramshackle Games models include free world wide shipping in the price, so what you see is what you pay for delivery to your door. The kit comes supplied with either the sponsons or the spaced armour.

That is pretty darn cool. Amazing also that you managed to include 5 gun options as well as the ability to be turreted or hull mounted as well as the other various options and all for less shipped than the MSRP for a Leman Russ.
Unfortunately I've got all the imperial tanks I'll ever need, but I will definitely be directing people to this when I see folks looking for alternative tank models.

Perfect for squats and forge fathers!

Curtis, congratulations on your KS success. I caught the review that the guys did on Beasts of War. Nice to see some love from them. Good work.
