As with nearly all entries in a LPL round both are great efforts and tops in the world of painting! Tsar, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, and it makes me wish I did not sell off my Wild West! Dam fine base work! :-*

Nord yours make me wish I did the LOTR period!  :P I like the cohesiveness in look. That being said though I think they suffer from just a bit to much sameness. I think these figure would be much more impressive with "contrasting" bases, the use of the same colors for the ground color and even the base trim diminishes the overall effect. If the bases were done in a lighter brown or tan using none of the figure colors I think the impact of these very deadly looking guys would be much more effective.

Nah, I like the monochrome effect better. Some subjects are good in contrasty schemes, but I don't think orcs are one of them. Drab, dark, monotone - works for me. Gritty rocks man.  o_o
