Post by: italwars on May 20, 2014, 08:35:50 PM
hello
always looking for sideshow fronts for my colonial toys i find this one...quite easy to represent troops involved (Boers for Portuguese and Zulus/Da tribesmen for natives)

You'll find there's a thread on the topic somewhere on this site and fellow LAF member Nuno Pereira has a blog which covers the colonial wars in Mozambique. There are even a small range of figures from Eureka in 28mm.

thanks i'll have a look
as regards to Eureka minis, i have a few of them..they appear to be dismounted Cavlry European troops..i don't know if the main core of tabletop Portuguese Army for those campaign could be built out of those castings..
as regards to Portuguese Askari i was thinking about this one from Castways range for Ashanti Wars:

but probably i would content myself with some multiuse Foundry DA uniformed Askaris
