Recently picked up the excellent Pulp Alley rules and decided to make up some "League" stat cards.
Being a VSF nut I thought I'd do up the "Queens Own Defence Regiment" an elite group of soldiers trained to fight the more bizarre threats against the Crown.

They are quality! Very nice work indeed. It's probably beyond me, but how did you do them what what did you use? :D

Very British dapper and spiffy. ;)

Wow are those ever ace. :-* :-* Legible too.
Nice solid league build as well.
-
Those are fantastic. Colourful and clear. I echo the queries - what did you use to make them?
-
Allow me to echo those who posted before, those look great!
-
Very, very nice.
Great mix of Victorian design ethos and modern!
-
Hope you like them.
Love them! :-*
As everybody else has said, how did you make them? I'd love to copy them for my characters.
-
I can see alot of Idea/Concept
"Theft" borrowing of this one.

Rather spiffy, what? Very much of the period. Well done!

Thank you all for the comments.
I constructed the cards using photoshop, with each one consisting of quite a few different layers. The pictures of the minis have been given a "cartoon" like quality by using a free program called Fotosketcher ( the oil crayon filter) then cut out using photoshop with a fine black border added and an embossing filter to make them pop.
Once I made one card it was quite easy to add different stats and character pics, although the initial design took a couple of hours to build.
I'm still learning ( and always picking up new tips and tricks) how to use photoshop but if I can give any pointers to help anyone PM me. I will try to help if I can.

Just completed some more League cards.
Leading the fight against enemies of the state is the ageing Professor Niles and his niece Emily. Emily is armed with a "Niles Patented" Galvanic Arc Projector whilst the Prof relies on his wits to keep him out of trouble. He also has two allies in the form of the mechanically "enhanced" Mr Cross and the explosives expert Mr Blackwell.

I can't believe I missed these before. :o

Those are amazing!
We are looking at making a printed Character Card deck. We're thinking it will include a good selection of basic characters plus some blank cards for making your own guys.

Cross & Blackwell! Handy blokes to have around if you get into a pickle!
(I think you probably have to be British to groan at this rather than be left scratching your head.)

Good stuff! Love people fiddling around in Photoshop for their games. You can make so many useful and pretty things with it.
-
Superb work of graphics, and fine painted miniatures too. :-*
