Title: Soil advice sought.
Post by: Argonor on June 07, 2014, 10:32:53 AM
I am experimenting with earthy colours, aiming for a 'dried out Middle European soil' look to paint on my zombie bases for my PSZ Warhammer Old World setting.

I would like you gents to please point out which one of the examples you think best fits the bill:

Comments and suggestions welcome!

I would say #4, but perhaps with a brown ink wash to tone down the highlight a little.

I'd say #3. Mainly because it looks similar to my bases at the moment.

Just keep it coming!  :)

Thanks, guys - dead race between the last 3 so far, with #3 one vote ahead - and as #3 is the one based on a ready-mixed colour (Vallejo Model Colour Khaki Grey), whereas the other 2 are home-made mixes, I'll go with #3.

I'd say 4, but there's very little in it.

If I had to pick, I'd pick #3, but TBH I'd be happy with any of them.
