It's been a while since I painted any modern Zombies ( damned VSF.... Weird War.....etc) and I've had the Zombies from Griffin sat on my work bench staring at me for ages.
I watched Diary of the Dead the other day and it got me motivated to get some done.
I decided to steer away from traditional green ( I'm a huge "Original" Dawn of the Dead fan) and go all-out rotten and bloody.
Hope you like them! :D

Very nice! The bases look great, too.

Nicely done! I've always wondered, though, why wounded Zombies always bleed bright red! Blood needs oxygen in it to turn red and, if you're not breathing, no oxygen! Coagulated blood is usually a deep red-brown, if not nearly black. I'll admit though, that your representation is nicely subdued and, as a result, looks more realistic than most.

The camera flash has picked the blood up brighter than it looks in natural light. It's actually GW "Dark Flesh" which is a dark red/brown ( normal red does look far too healthy!!!!)

BTW: Fritzy, who said your character has a gun???? :D

lol lol Haven't you seen the real reason for a guitar hardcase in Desperado :-*. I'm sure the Fritzy mini bought his guitar with a hardcase lol lol. Do I get away with it ??? ???
Alright I can't wait to swing my axe at the Zeds.
The hearts came out really well and I thought you were joking when you asked 'hearts or polka dots'. great choice and execution.
Cheers

SEE! I told you you'd leave the way of the green behind! ;)
Nice mate, just watch Diary myself, not bad, too few ZEDs for my liking but hey ground zero and all that.
Best bit: 'HELLO I'm Samuel'! :-X
I'm kinda stuck in a Halo phase at present but my NBC wearing swat team, delta and rangers keep looking at me funny...plus the 47 zed's ready to paint do moan alot!

Nice use of the Heroic Scale Buildings, where did you get the road?
-
I haven't totally forgotten the green...... just adding some variation to my collection.
Got to admit I laughed when lifted up his little writing board....classic!
Joroas: The road section is from the original "Streets of Mayhem" set by Worldworks.

Oh, and Fritzy, you haven't got a "Hardcase" for your guitar. You CAN have a crossbow. Without bolts, obviously... :D

I have to confess that in the past i've used some of your minis as motivation to get painting zeds myself, but in this case we both came to the same conclusion independently. :)
What are you up to now numberwise - last time i checked you must have been in the low 90's for deaduns?

Hmmm.. I'll have to count them.... Must be over 100. If you include WW2 Zombies, Deadlands and Undead pirates more like 130+. I've still got about 40 or so to paint.. lol
