i'm planning of building some landing crafts for some 13 DBLE legionnaires and 342 CCC Hotchkiss H39 landing in
Narvik Bjerkvik .
1 LCM mk1 and 2 MLC were used for the landing of 3 H39 Tanks and 4 LCA carried each a section of legionnaires
i'm looking for some drawings of those 3 landing craft models .
I have not been able to find something ??? it's( quite) easy to find drawings of XVIIIth century ships ...
less easy to find WW2 drawings of the first landing boats used succesfully ? :?

Milicast do the LCM 1 http://www.militarymodelling.com/news/article/lcm-landing-craft-mechanised-mark-1-/4660
An excellent reference for Landing Craft of all shapes and sizes, if you can get hold of it, is the book 'Allied Landing Craft of WW2', published in 1985 by Arms & Armour Press.
http://www.historicalfirearms.info/post/88013506819/landing-craft-assault-on-6th-june-the-majority-of LCA drawing for you.
You're probably going to struggle for the MLC.

thanks a lot . Milicast is a 1/76 model and i play with 28 mm but, as i have found the size of the beast , it will work :D
motor landing craft is a big challenge :'(

For the LCA, there was a nice drawing in an old Millitary Modelling magazine.
Not sure which is the MLC you say...

I have an entire book on LCA. :)
Always wanted some in 28mm...
Please shoot me a pm if I can help - the book is full of drawings ... And pictures...
-
thanks all but the main problem is the Motor Landing Craft (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_landing_craft) .
even on wikipedia, there is no pics, only a link to pics of a model ...
only 9 were built between 1928 and 1936 , 3 were lost in norway, 2 in dunkirk
all were lost at the end of the war
it will be interesting for mad bob to work on an LCA as there is no 28 mm model
-
The pic of the MLC model shows a craft very similar to the LCM Mk I to me.
-
gran manner had a LCA , pretty nice one it seem's ...

Army Group North make a Hotchkiss H-39 in 28mm or 1/56.
-
i have ordered 2 of the AGN hotchkiss :D and with the sa18 short barrel turret ...
( the AGN H39 is issued with SA38 long barrel , but Vincent is a good guy ;) )
-
a MCL is on the way ...

f***ing s**t ! what a fail >:(
i have built the LCM on an 1/48 base ... and now, i have received the h39 from AGN, and i can put 3 tanks in each LCM !
they will be perfect with die-cast tank !
-
