Post by: JollyBob on July 28, 2008, 06:52:32 PM
Hi all.

I got inspired by Orctrader's lovely job on his to finally finish the one I started ages ago.

Been trying out some new flesh shades, what do people think?  ???

All comments gratefully accepted, as per usual.  :)

I got inspired by Orctrader...

Thanks  :) then allow me to be the first to comment.

I like it.  Jeans are good.  The eyes are great and the flesh is pretty good.  (What new recipe?)

The base is a little too basic for my tastes on this one, but that's only a minor point.  Overall, good job.

Nice job.  :) My only comment is he looks very pale (not wrong on a lab tech) It maybe the flash photography. What paints/combination did you use?

 :) Thank you.

The flesh is straigt out of the pots, no mixing necessary. GW Dark Flesh, then Tallarn Flesh from the Foundation range, highlights with Elf Flesh. No messing about.

He is pale, yes. Not altogether sure it's intentional. I tend to go either really dark or really light with colours for some reason. And I'm still a bit of a monkey when it comes to photos and editing software, there's no flash used, but I think I'm still getting it wrong somewhere in the mix.

As for the base, all my modern/urban stuff is done like that as its pretty generic and very quick to do. Never really thought about making it more interesting. It's not like I'll ever do owt with them!  lol

I find flesh is a real challenge. your combination is no different from what I would use.

Yours looks good, looks like the guys been inside for too long.
