As the title says, I'm looking for a paint storage rack for my work desk. I've seen a few nice ones made out of laser-cut boards, but I can't recall any manufacturers off of the top of my head...
I have paints from lots of different sources, from Polly S and Games Workshop to Privateer Press and Foundry, so any paint rack I get will need to be able to fit lots of different shapes and sizes of bottle.
Can you folks here suggest any sources for racks like this? I'm in the USA, so US sources would be ideal, I think.
Thanks!

I think I may be going with something like this:

But I am open to suggestions!

I used Ikea Ribba shelves, they are a ledge for pictures. Perfect for paints. About 180 organized this way.

My Paintier 80 is still holding up well, even though I have so many pots and bottles crammed on it that I need another one...

Thanks, folks - much appreciated. I'll check out the links!

@Grant your workspace is entirely to tidy! Are you trying to make the rest of us look bad.
The maximum are of table allowed to be visible on a worktable no matter how big is 10cmX10cm And it must be covered in paint.
Also: My vote goes to the Ikea picture shelves easily the cheapest option. I have them myself. Only my paints somehow all end up on my desk in stead of the shelves, where I have now started to put up reference pictures...

Clear acrylic nail polish racks. Stores most brands of paint, ridiculously cheap on amazon.

Those IKEA shelves are a brilliant idea and cheap too. How many bottles can you fit behind one another on the shelves? Too bad they Hto be screwed onto a wall or some other sturdy piece. A slightly more portable version would be nice.
Has anyone run into any paint racks that would store the paints horizontally with the bottom or the cap towards you? From a space saving perspective that would be great and might even help with mixing as the pigment won't drift to the bottom.

Ive got these, and for the money they are jolly good... I also ordered them in a bespoke size so they fit my workspace perfectly, which is a very nice touch. But Use LOTS of wood glue when assembling as the shelves need it for stability.

I can't find these on the IKEA site, just a Ribba frame. Any idea?

I went ikea UK, searched "Ribba" and came up with this

I have a few items from HobbyZone in Poland. There are probably cheaper alternatives out there, but you can read my thoughts on them here http://obsidian3d.blogspot.ca/2013/01/hobbyzone-paint-table-paint-rack-review.html

You have these, from Spain:

For a cheap solution, it's hard to beat a Nail Polish counter display (from Amazon). Fits Vallejo and the more plump Foundry pots just fine.

Maybe this can help eventually?

That's just about exactly what I would like for a paint at my workbench! Really ticks all the boxes...
Too bad the postage is a deal breaker.
-
I bit the bullet and ordered the Miniature Scenery rack that I linked in the original post.
The shipping is painful, but I couldn't find any other racks that so perfectly fit my needs.
Thanks to all for the great suggestions!

Cheap on Ebay too.
Thanks for that suggestion, some of the acrylic nail polish/tattoo ink stands I've found on fleabay and amazon are silly cheap, much much cheaper than the equivalent sized wargaming-specific racks.
I badly need better organization on my painting desk, so I'll be keeping the nail polish racks in mind!

Just as a followup, I just discovered Impudent Mortal in the States, who have a range of lasercut buildings, some of which Rich of TooFatLardies used earlier this year for a brewery, which is how I discovered them...
...and they have a small range of quite reasonably priced paint racks in lasercut MDF as well.

I have to back this up. I LOVE doing business with Impudent Mortal. For those of you that have desk racks and STILL need more space they make wall hanging paint racks that are fantastic. They do different sizes as well, so I'm able to get my tints and craft paints off my desk.

Be careful with acrylic nail polish stands, because I bought one on ebay, and upon receiving it, I saw that Vallejo paints donīt fit!

So I went with the attractively priced paint rack from Warbases (http://war-bases.co.uk/ACCESSORIES/PAINT-ACCESS?product_id=549).
This A4 (8.25"x11.70") sized rack holds 45 dropper-style bottles and has a very modest footprint on the workbench. Extremely happy with this product. Have ordered a second one because it just makes sense. 8)

So happy with my new Warbases Paint Racks (http://war-bases.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=549) that I wanted to post up a shot of them in place chez nous.

This is a simple, sturdy design that stores your paint in plain view, while maintaining a small footprint. The 'kit' was easy to assemble, only requiring a few rubber-bands to hold it together while the glue dries... The price is right, too.
Here they both are, mounted on the back-wall of my workbench.

Ģ17.98 for a six-tier, inc P&P, is that a good deal?

Picked up one of the Impudent Mortal racks I mentioned above, assembled it tonight and have reorganized my painting area around it.
Review of the IM paint rack over on my blog: http://www.warbard.ca/2014/10/13/impudent-mortal-paint-rack/

I second the Nail Polish Display Stand. I bought one on Twin City Gamers & Joroas's recommendation and it was so good I went back and got two more. Holds all types of paint bottles including Foundry, P3, GW (old and new types) and Vallejo.
-
A long time ago I found this type of paint storage system, I don't own it myself but it looks nice... Holds a good number of pots.

GW paints sit in those nicely, but the slimmer Vallejo ones fall over.
-
About the Warbases one, I don't have a permanent set up so can it stack flat like a tray or will the droppers fall out?
I think I will get one whatever as I am sick of trawling through boxes of paints looking for the one I thought I had...
-
Sorry Mahwell, I mounted my Warbases racks right away, so can't help you there.
Why not email Martin at Warbases and ask him?
