Inspired from the movie: the good ,the bad and the weird, i started to build my own little Project.
Because it is very hard to copie this crazy Scenario (the Action parts are very fast, so you can't see any building for more than one or two seconds) i started to make some "generic" chinese-style buildings, which i can also use for other adventures.
here are some pics from the first attempts:

-
Superb stuff
-
Excellent work both in construction and painting! My favourite is the loundry hung out to dry. A very nice detail that adds a bit of colour and life to the village. I assume it might also create some interesting situations for line of sight.
Looking forward to see more of your ghost market!
-
Fantastic modelling!
:-*
-
Superb buildings, I especially like the details like the laundry line that bring them to life!
A set of Ghost Market-inspired buildings has been somewhere on my list of potential projects for several years now, ever since seeing The Good, The Bad & The Weird for the first time. I'll be bookmarking this thread for inspiration!
-
Mike, I started working on the same type of project over a year ago, but my efforts pale to yours. Bravo! You've also given me some excellent ideas here. I'll say that I've been inspired by this, since "I think I'll rip-off your great ideas" sound so cheap and dirty....um, sort of like The Ghost Market. Well done.
-
AMAZING work! :o o_o :-*
So evocative, one really wants to start a gunfight.
Thanks for sharing.

Excellent!

I was wondering how you made/where you got the lanterns Hombre?
And the recipe for the very impressive grey wood painting.

And the recipe for the very impressive grey wood painting.
The laterns are scratchbuild from woodpearls, toothpicks and wire. The weathering effect is the result from drybrushing carefully 3-4 times. The colors are a mixture from different wood and earthtones (cigarbrown, umbra, terrasiena and some white for highlights (common used for wallpainting)
just have problems when add pictures in my posts, so i can`t show you some pics.sorry :(

no worries hombre

Outstanding and inspirational - superb and well done!
Qucik question, did you use wire or thread to hold together the scaffolding?
-
Thank you gentlemen for your comments,
that is the first setup, but i need much more buildings and market stalls for a good shootout. The most buildings are fully playable. :DOutstanding and inspirational - superb and well done!
Qucik question, did you use wire or thread to hold together the scaffolding?
I used wire and bamboosticks from an old asian tableset.

kebab skewer bamboo handrail is brilliant!
Is the roof not quite finished, so as to paint the interior? I like the curve you have with the roof.

The only question that pops up in my mind after I'm done drooling over your set-up is do the roofs lift off? Your board would be the game worth remembering.

yes the buildings are playable inside ,also the second and sometimes the third floor.
