So my Old West town of Serenity has matured , and has become a city. I am now building a collection for 1920/30 games.
So here we have the first contingent of the boys in blue

I sourced the transport from e bay , it's a Matchbox models of yesteryear. I will be changing the signage and making some replacement transfers.
And the first of the bad guys

I will use this thread to track it's progress.

Good looking models. That is a neat idea to follow a Western town into the 20th century. If I get into the cops and robbers side of Pulp, I may steal your idea. :)

Super good!

Looking good.
As a denizen of SLC I thank you for letting me know that such a car exists. Now to locate...

Been working on the downtown headquarters of the Carbonara Mob, It's based on the Sarissa large warehouse. Added in windows and lighting effect, opening doors.

Love it! Gotta try building one!
-
That's an awesome building!
Would love to see details of how you did the lighting - is it all attached to the roof?
-
Looking rather excellent mate. Nice work on that Sarissa tart up.

Looks like a 9 volt battery in some sort of holder on the underside of the roof, and I'm guessing one of those 9V contact bits to plug into the battery and control the lights that way?
I'd forgotten how massive that Sarissa warehouse is, there's a lot of space on the bottom of the roof to play with!

Indeed there is space in the roof area... I did this as an afterthought though.. It would be possible to use the large floor void in this building as long as an access door was made to change the battery. But this would work better with wall lights rather than ceiling. I have wired a push switch in the corner off the roof so I can leave the battery in situe . This will be easily disguisable as a chimney for a stove etc..
-
Fantastic job. I keep fancying one of those warehouses, but I keep telling myself I must tackle my unfinished MDF buildings mountain first. :D
