Title: Pulp twist on a classic team... Updated
Post by: wolfen on July 21, 2014, 06:46:26 PM
I wasn't planning on posting these until I had the whole team complete but Marvel's announcement last week forced me to bump up my painting schedule. This will be a gender role reversed pulpish version of the Avengers. As of now these 2 are finished:

Dr. Valhelmine Thorstad aka Valkyrie
(http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo203/foyt21/IMAG2735_1_zps9in3bjwb.jpg)

Nikolai Romanov aka The Widowmaker
(http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo203/foyt21/IMAG2737_1_zpsdsbxrywh.jpg)

Sorry for the fuzzy cell phone pics.

Background info for the team will come when the rest are done.

all black is very 'phantom' indeed.  black is the new black.

Black-on-black with red accents looks awesome for the Phantom Ace figure. I have a primed and based PA on my painting bench, was vaguely considering a black leather paint scheme, and I think I'll be doing my own version of yours now!

Lovely painting. I've got that miniature (still unpainted) and it looks like a great figure to paint.

Who makes the figure used for Miss Fury?

Looks like a Statuesque Mini (converted with a Thompson) to me.

Tis indeed from Statuesque, as is the head (from the veterans upgrade) and the Thompson (retro weapons upgrade).
