Title: In the Shadow of Shadow Mountain. VACW AAR
Post by: section 8 on July 26, 2014, 03:50:38 AM
Another skirmish in the ongoing Glenpool Strike campaign. This time the Boston Avenue Believers go up against the IWW's CSPLA (or the Cherry Street People's Liberation Arm) and attempt to rout the communists from the local Hooverville located just to the east of Shadow Mountain*. The Methodist's pot luck dinners will never be the same again.

More action on the blog -->Shadow Mountain (http://rubbler-rouser.blogspot.com/2014/07/in-shadow-of-shadow-mountain-glenpool.html)

We played a slightly modified game of Bolt Action. We have added LMG teams and a rule that your leader cannot be killed, only wounded and removed from the skirmish. This was was our second game (I think) using BA rules. My opponents opinion was that the game was lacking severely in grenades. The abstract nature of hand to hand combat, with grenades included left him unimpressed. ;)

At any rate we had a good time.

* Shadow Mountain is an actual geographic location in Tulsa. Though it has mountain in its name it is more of hill, and not even a very big one at that, more of slight rise really.

Thanks for looking.

Can I suggest that you give Chain of Command a try. Plenty of opportunity for grenades in that and I think it gives a better game.
