A cracking looking table, well done! Lots of tanks and planes, which rule set were you using?
-
My ones, A World Aflame.
-
That looks fantastic!
-
Brilliant, loads of inspiration and ideas to steal. :-*
-
WOW, what eye candy. :-*
I am blown away.
So well done.
-
this is absolutely amazing!
-
So sad to miss this, but it looked great guys! :-*
-
what a great looking game paul
-
To make it worse we only got about 2/3 rds of the figures onto the table.
There was also a lot of unused buildings underneath. We reckon that we could have added another 10' of table easily.
Pure insanity really. :'(
Still its only a hobby lol

Still its only a hobby lol
A fine example of what the hobby is all about nevertheless. Well done those men! :)
-
I really should get me a drool -proof keyboard :)
Reviews like this are costing me a small fortune.
Seriously: simply fantastic!
-
What a fantastic looking battle! The building were enough to drool over but the planes and the tanks and other vechicles were jut icing on the cake.
-
well done gentlemen, setting a standard that's very hard to reach! unless I retire tomorrow...
-
Wonderful game table!!! All the armored vehicles of this war were on your table!!! lol
Really nice figures, vehicles and terrain elements.
-
This is an amazing game! It has motivated me to get back to my Empress SCW project. Can I ask who makes the buildings and aircraft?
Thanks!
-
Hi
The buildings are a mixture of Empress' own range, Grand Manner, home built and a couple of heavily customised Miniature Building Authority contributions. The Empress buildings are really nice to work with and quite convertible. The Grand Manner buildings (eg the Convent) are quite an investment but make great centre pieces on the table (they are from the Napoleonic Spanish range).
The aircraft are a real hotch potch of 1:48th interwar aircraft from various obscure manufacturers as found in various dusty model shops up and down the country. It's a question of keeping your eyes open and getting lucky! ;)
I was seduced into SCW at a weak moment but have never regretted it. It's a fascinating period to study and wargame and a refreshing change from killer cats on the Eastern Front! Yep, as commented on above, this game is clearly over armoured but it's bloody good fun! What's not to love about armoured trucks! lol

Fantastic :)

A very impressive display as my learned colleagues have pointed out 8)

Belated thanks for all of the excellent info on the buildings and the planes! I have most of the Miniature Building Authority ones as well as a Brigade Games hacienda. I think I will need to get at least one of two of the Grand Manner ones -- the are very nice.
