First historical plastic I think I've painted in a couple of decades......nice piece, little fiddly and anatomically different to most metals.....none of the exaggeration we have come to expect. I've since added a barrel to balance the base as I put him in the wrong area...grrrrrrrr......hopefully more on the way...........Pirates of the Caribbean to go with my pirates so history is out of the window lol

You wouldn't believe it was the same company, looking at their earlier releases. Excellent painting as well! :)
-
Nice to see a close up of them. I've seen other pics, but nothing this detailed.
WF have improved with every release and it's hard to believe these are from the same manufacturer as the AZW British !
I might just get me some!...
-
I have some of their early stuff and this is just leaps and bounds away from it.
-
I think they are brilliant and your painting is great.
-
Really rather good.
I can see him taking a pot-shot at a ne'er-do-well out of an upper casement of your inn...
Lovely :)

Thanks for the comments gents. I've added the barrel (actually a Foundry Orc 'ramage' piece that fits) and gloss varnished him. Hopefully tomorrow will see a matt coat (although will try a semi gloss on the straps as I have been advised they would have a certain sheen to them).

I was contemplating the same thing, but I'm glad you admitted it first. :P
Thanks for showing the proof of concept. I think they'll work perfectly, especially since one box at $22(?) should provide as many as I'd need.

I spent a very frustrating 30 minutes last night trying to put another one together.....gave.....no idea how the 2 arms were meant to interact together..may try again at some point today :-[

Now matt coated with the barrel to balance and 4 more WIPs. One of them I was going to the bin as I couldn't work out how he was meant to go together until I added a couple of bits....I think he looks OK digging into the pot!

Hi D.D. the figure looks good but your painting style complements it well.
Do you mind me asking who makes the figure to the right on your painting table. The one in the soft hat and with what looks loke a shotgun over his shoulder.
Thanks

That's one of the Partizan give aways from over the years. No.23 Clyde, a Matt Bickley sculpt. They do come up occassionally on ebay (a big lot on at the moment actually). Pics here;
