Hi all, well we played the two day event we had been planning and had a great time.
As we played a continuous game we had to create a few rules such as; reserves, recruitment of labourers and control of NPC's.
The rules are really great fun and easy to remember, we only had to look at the rule book twice the whole weekend.
I have posted many photos and a write up of the events that I could remember on my Blog.
Setup is here.

Part 2, the first days events and more is here.

Some general photos of other games, but I did not have time to do them justice posted here.

I posted this Sunday evening while the game was fairly fresh in my mind. I was a bit tired so hope it makes sense.
There are a few items that I had just finished in time for the game, so will take some photos and post to the Blog next weekend if I get time.

A boat at night would go slower then the day yes? lol lol

Wow! What a great set up. It all looks excellent, but the pyramid insides are the best. Sounds like a great game too.

Superb boards :-*

That is an absolutely fantastic looking game. Cool stuff.
-
Lovely set up and some nice ideas with the plot points.

Wow! That's fantastic, Dan! It's always great to see your awesome terrain and figures in action. The band was certainly one step beyond.
I'm glad y'all had fun playing Pulp Alley.
THANKS

Hot diggity, that is one fine looking table!
Love the idea of a big, big game like that run over multiple days... How many turns do you figure were actually played?
-
That looks amazing! Wish I could have been there. ;) :-*

If only for safety sakes :)

Brilliant, I love it all. Some very nicely painted miniatures in those photos.

I thought I should mention that you're now eligible for the Phantom Agent promo prize! You can see more information on it here-- http://pulpalley.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=718&sid=1350a8a8a899191f6db26ea50e7fe006

Hi all.
Sorry I took so long to respond, but I have been having a break from all the madness this project inspired.
It really was great fun all weekend, although it did hurt to see newly painted figures killed off when I had such great plans for them.
Mr Peabody, I think we played at least something like 12 to 15 turns. I did not really keep track but used a d6 for each character as some of us (me) forget when we have moved a figure.
Arteis, thanks those are really good photos on your Blog. I'm glad to have inspired both you and Brian as I've admired some of the games you guys have put on in the past.
The Band was really painful to paint, as every time I thought of them or looked at them I heard "The night Boat to Cairo" tune going through my brain. When I named them the Los Palmos 7, then that tune went through my brain each time I looked at them. It seems to have stopped now I've started other projects. lol
I should mention that my mate Ray painted some really beautiful figures, chiefly the Cultists. He is going to write a report himself so I will either link that here or take some photos of his figures.
I have been inspired by WW1 now, but should really be painting some Zulus. I will see later what to concentrate on as soon as I have recovered from this. ;)

Thanks Dan. Looking forward to your next project!
-
My parting comment to Ray while we were packing everything up was, "next year lets do some Gladiators", "just some Gladiators in a ring", "about 8 aside"' lol
Seriously though, I'm thinking of doing something to fit in with the Gallipoli Anniversary. I have plenty of Turks painted and a few in the Lead pile. I just need to get more Brits to paint up.
I wonder if they had a Band on the beach? ;)
I did not get a chance to photograph anything last weekend as it was too dull to take photos and I was busy packing things away. I was also playing with some WW1 rules as I want to do some Western Front games later in 2018.
