My latest unit for ACW is The 11th New York "Fire Zouaves" or Ellsworth Zouaves which have been on my to do list for some time. They are based for Regimental Fire and Fury.

I love them!! What size bases are you using? I am slowly building an 1861 project.
-
Thank you! :) The figures are 28mm with 2 to a base on 40mm wide x 20mm depth as RF&F requires a very high base count. So far using 15mm scale for the board and measurements has worked out a real treat.

That's a cracking looking unit, well done that man.

Wonderful! My congratulations on such a splendid job, sir! The 11th NY has been on my list for quite a while as well. These pictures make them move up on the list considerably.

Lovely brush work.
That's big unit that will look great on the table.
-
A really fine looking unit.
I love the look of 28mm units for the Civil War.
I also enjoyed looking over your blog.
Lots of cool stuff.

Excellent Christopher.

Thank you everyone for your kind words of support! :)

So, in RFF, would this unit usually fight too ranks deep? I am familiar with Brigade Fire and Fury, but not it's off spring.

Yes, two ranks is the standard formation because you can fire from both ranks and receive a combat bonus, but you can also extend into single line when needed to cover more ground and makes you a little harder to hit in some situations.
Note: Mine are shown 3 ranks deep, but that's simply to fit everyone in the picture.

Top job, Christopher :)

Very nicely done. I found a GGGrandfather born in 1861 that they named 'Elmer Ellsworth' and the name carried down to my grandfather.

Very nice work. I believe Footsore Miniatures have got some 1861 stuff coming out soon and I am looking forward to getting my hands on them

@Bluebottle
Oh, that's very interesting.
@Olyreed
I know and I'll be a buyer as I love bill's work and the fact I'm from Minnesota and his first unit is the first Minnesota has me pretty excited!
