Title: Come play in my "Ohio Frontier Aflame" this September
Post by: mikedemana on August 19, 2014, 03:42:50 AM
Hi everyone,

Just putting in a plug for my game which will be run three times at Advance the Colors 2014 (http://www.hmgsgl.org/conventions/advance-the-colors/), Sept. 19-21. It will be a French & Indian War extravaganza on a 12-foot long table. There will be a fort, blockhouse, Indian village, "Last of the Mohicans" style cliffs, scratch-built canoes -- you name it! The rules will be "Song of Drums & Tomahawks," which are now in production at Ganesha Games. Here are some pictures of my terrain and figs which will be featured in the lobby of our convention site, The Heritage Center of Clark County.

Of course, there are other amazing games, as well (plus, another French & Indian War game). Advance the Colors is a friendly, mid-size convention in Springfield, Ohio. The venue is a historical museum with interesting displays and a cool militaria wing. Our Dealer Room will be the largest yet, with 9 vendors bringing 28 tables worth of merchandise. ATC is an inexpensive con, too, so you can enjoy some spectacular games without busting your wallet (well, not counting things you'll want to buy in the Dealer Area!).

Anyway, here are some photos to entice you...
The Blockhouse

Indian Village

Perilous Ambushes

Rangers to the Rescue!

Indian Captives

I plan on adding an entire 28mm Acheson Creations fort to the mix, as well as scratch-built canoes and other surprises. I am thinking of expanding it out from 4 vignettes to 5...I'll be sure once I count up my figures and make sure I have enough! So, that would mean room for 10 players in each of the three runnings (Friday 7pm, Saturday 2pm, Saturday 7pm).

I would love to see some Forum members come out to ATC and join in on the fun...!

Great looking figures, terrain and game idea. Good luck at ATC con Mike. I know you enjoyed my game last year at H-Con, now I wish I could attend ATC, but unfortunately I have other commitments on Friday and Saturday that weekend. Have a great time and hope to see some great looking photos of your games.
Regards,
Hitman

Beautiful setup... Wish I could be there. ATC is so close to home (onlt about a 45 minute drive), but it always falls on the weekend of a standing obligation for me to be elsewhere.
