Title: Undead army for Kings of War - Soul Reaver Infantry
Post by: Skrapwelder on August 26, 2014, 05:20:44 PM
Our group is doing a large co-op Kings of War game at Pacificon in a few weeks and I opted for an Undead force as I already had wadges of zombies and ghouls from my Gothic Horror gaming.

I finished two units, one Skeletons and another of Revenants to provide a center for all the Zombies.

"Late" Romans for Revenants

I'm working on a couple of catapults next.

Very nice! Not my rules of choice, but the army looks superb!

Looking good, pics of whole army, please!  :)

Am just nailing together a Lords of Undeath army for God of Battles, so I need all the morale support I can get!  ;)  lol

It's really nice to see undead units that avoid sporting the usual motifs. And they look great.

Thanks everyone. Here's a couple of Balefire Catapults and a likely candidate for a Liche King

The Liche King is modified from a Warmachine model. I made a new head using one of the plastic cthulhu statues and some bits from Eldar wytches for the crown.

The liche is a bit too cabley for my liking but the catapults are fantastic.

I love the 'cabely' look to the figure. The regiments look wonderful too.

The "Roman" skeletons are great and even the regular skellies give a nice Viking vibe.

Great work!

How did you replace the shields? I think they are molded on on the Mantic skeleton models.

Thanks Maxxon. I carved the Mantic shield off with an X-acto knife before assembly the models.

That Liche King is fantastic. I feel the need to modify my Cryx army now. You've inspired me.

Bit of threadomancy but I've gotten back to my Undead armay after a long while. Finished up some Black Numenoreans to use as a regiment of Soul Reaver infantry.

I'm glad you bought this thread back(rather appropriate considering the theme). Those skeletons are fantastic, I especially like the upside -down shields on the revenants, it really gets the point across.
