Here the arch-enemy of Lucrezia "Vampirella" (the vampire leader of my "Legio Mors" league):
the "Sacra congregatio Romanae et universalis inquisitionis seu Sancti officii" (Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Roman and Universal Inquisition) or simple "Holy Office" and "Roman Inquisition"
a 193X league from the vatican to hunt heretics, witches, sorcerers, undead, demons, dark cultists and their minions or servants.
Here the first miniature I've painted, the leader.
I painted it using the classic paint scheme of a cardinal:
The miniature is from Privaater Press - Warmachine. I just included the hands, eliminated the backpack and slightly modified the mask.
The mask is ispired from the venetian bauta mask

The league will include other 4 miniatures.
Cardinales Generales Inquisitores (General Cardinal Inquisitor) DOMINICUS

Yes it is. It's a very sinister looking figure.

Agreed! ;)

Excellent conversion of Warmachine's Severius! Really convincing. And for the people that don't know the original sculpt, this was it:

I prefer the conversion by a long way. Nice work with the hand swaps.

This is looking gooood!

Great conversion and paint job :-* and I like the concept!

Can't wait to see what kind of minions you add!
-
NO ONE EXPECTS!........... lol
Seriously though nice stuff

Thanks :D
I'm considering how to paint the other miniatures I'm priming. Maybe I should use again the red/white paint scheme? If all the league members use the same paint scheme could be nice, but I was considering the dominican order black/white paint scheme too, for the minions of the inquisitor... One of the sidekick should be a Knight of Malta, with a shining silver armor and a shield with white cross over red background.

Great minis! lol lol
-
Well, that was unexpected.
(I'm sorry, I had to...)
Great minis, interesting idea for a League!
-
I was just wondering whether the IP guys at GW had noticed the had stolen the not-Inquisitor symbol! lol

I never seen the Monty Python's Flying Circus, however I know the "spanish inquisition", I just saw some episode in the net. ;)
Those miniatures are fine, perfect for a league, but they are too much funny for my sinister roman inquisition :D

Oh yes, what these two have said indeed!! Splendid work!!

As soon as I saw your title I expected to see Victoria Lamb's chaps.

Her work is delightful, full of character & detail, a joy to paint.
She ships these for free, worldwide, another plus, & it's quick!
As a well satisfied repeat customer I highly recommend her figures!!
Think of these fellows as diabolical, rather than humourous. While the chap in the flying hlmet could benefit from a headswop, he does plant them firmly into the 20th Century. & looking at your marvelous conversion, they would work so well together it'd be a shame to not include them!
When can we, ahem, expect to see pictures of this league completed?

Thanks :D, actually I'm trying to create a cheap league, using miniatures I've yet in my collection.
I just bought two other miniatures from warmachine (the flamer cleansers) for a cheap price (usually warmachine miniatures are expensive).
I've yet two other miniatures from old citadel that I'm considering...
here the pictures of the miniatures I will use:
Allies with flamer "Burn Witch! BURN!"
I'm thinking of paint the armor black and gold and the clothes in red, as the inquisitor... they are the loyal guards of the inquisitor
for the knight of malta, I was considering to use an old oop citadel reiksguard knight (the picture is from a painted reiksguard I found on the net)
and a dominican inquisitor (with black/white paint scheme) using this miniature:
I will eliminate the tzeentch symbol and spikes on the hood and armor
