Title: GHQ Infantry?

Gents
Whats the view on GHQ 1/285 infantry and heavy weps? Sculpt quality etc etc
And who else does good Modern Russian, Warsaw Pact and Nato infantry please?

If you want good 6mm Modern Russian Infantry, then GHQ is probably your best, and likely only bet.

The quality of GHQ items all round is undoubtedly the best you will ever find on the market.

I have some of their T72s with ERA and my god, they are more detailed then half the 15mm and even 20mm kit on the market.

Of course there are limitations on the figures, but they are excellent and you can identify quite easily what weapons they are operating.

Agree, I have the modern US infantry and the detail on the guns is better than most 15mm stuff!

Any hints/pointers on painting Modern British (Europe) and Modern Russians (both inf and vechs)?

I paint mine a lighter shade than in 15mm (which I guess is a slight lighter shade than 28mm). I painted my infantry on a dark brown base and added the skin tone as hightlights. So I guess you'd call it brown lining between colours.The GHQ vehicles take dry brush highlights very well.

I'm sure there's more than a few tutorials online (I can't recommend any unfortunately).

Depending on how much you have to paint, it might be the way to go.
