Title: Red Skull, Batman, and... HULK SMASH!
Post by: Cosmotiger on September 17, 2014, 04:06:52 AM
While waiting for my order of Heroclix to come, I've been working on the various superhero figures I happen to have picked up semi-randomly over time.

Red Skull. Also known as "Herr Todt," from What The?! Miniatures. Possibly out of production now, or taken over by another company.

Batman. A Heroclix repaint, previously shown on this forum, but this is a better lit and focused pic.

The big guy.  Reaper Bones "Clay Golem" with green stuff hair added.

For now, I'm going to use "Clobberin' Time," which is a free set of rules from this blog: http://hordesofthethings.blogspot.com/p/free-stuff.html (http://hordesofthethings.blogspot.com/p/free-stuff.html) . Pretty simple, looks good for playing with my kids.

I'll probably also pick up "Power Legion" from Ganesha Games when it comes out in paperback format.

I did the same thing with the Clay Golem years ago!!

Love them all, I just got that Red Skull mini a few weeks back, I hope I can make mine look 1/2 as good as yours!

I got a couple of packages in the mail today, my superhero needs are met for a little while. (There are about 30 more in the box under the bubble wrap)   ;)
Generally nice figures, just need some cleanup and some new paint...

Let us know how Power Legion looks. I've been keeping an eye on the threads about it in the Yahoo Group. It sounds like there are still some clarity issues with the current PDF edition. I'll be sticking with SS3 for the short term.

Keep the superhero conversions coming.

What do you guys think about Batman's eyes? He's always shown in the comics and animated shows with white eyes and no pupils. Which is how masked characters are almost always drawn, it seems.

I decided to put pupils in, based on some crazy idea I had that this is a more "realistic" version, like in the movies or something.

I'm still not certain if I like it, and I now have several other masked characters to paint....

I like the pupils.

I like the way they handle that issue in the Batman Arkham Asylum games....Normally Batman has the pupils, but when you turn on 'detective mode' they become just the white eyes like we see in the comics.

Pupils look fine, nice job on that Hulk... I really like it.
