Title: Looking for ideas for Pegasus Hobbies (...to steal)
Post by: Bezzo on September 21, 2014, 11:24:41 AM
I have quite a few Pegasus Hobbies cathedral sections (kindly given by another LAFfer). I am now thinking of building them into a substantial terrain piece and wondered if other members had already employed these kits.

Basically before starting work I just want to look at options.

I really like the Pegaus kits. It's can be a great basis for building scenery that works in a multitude of settings. I Just finished a church using a bit more than 2 Pegasus' Gothic Terrain kits including a fair bit of modding and of course having to scratchbuild the roof and floors.   It will be posted this week with alot of how-to information.

A few things I would mention until then.

-The weird bits that look like lantern hangers are floor supports
-A Motor tool and the dremel 543 cutting/shaping wheel are brilliant for any kind of modding. The thick plastic takes a long time to cut otherwise, but the 543 chews right through it.
-The kits don't come with palisade walls, but you can make them by cutting wall sections down to the level of the window sills.
-Scrapbook craft paper can be a great source for decorative flooring.

More later….
