I have been working on some figures for the Taiping Rebellion, 28mm figures, probably a bit of a sideline for some but as I like some of the more obscure periods I decided to have a go at these.
First up some leader types and Taiping rebels.

The intention is to cast these up just as soon as I have enough for a couple of molds, I am also working on some Imperials and Ever Victorious Army types to kick the range off.
I'll keep you posted on progress but at the moment I am hoping to have these ready later in the year.

One of my favorite periods for colonial gaming. :o Looking forward to getting some.
-
I've seen some Chinese videos on you tube of scenes from movies about the taipings. Very colorful, may be useful as a painting guide.

Anymore news on your figures. THE CID.

Update is that I will hopefully getting a couple of molds made over the next month or so, then into production, with luck, in the new year.
I plan to have some Taipings, EVA and Imperialists and a number of different weapons in a pack (various sears and other polearms) in the first batch, a couple of footsloggers, command and flag bearer for each type, with others to follow. If I can fit them in I'll try to squeeze a couple of Tigermen in as well.
I am also working on some flags for these as well so will release these at the same time.
The EVA thus far-although I need to re work those turbans a bit!

The first batch are now up and running although I still have to top and tail the flags, which will include Taiping, Imperial and EVA flags.
More information on the first release can be found here:

The figures measure approx. 28mm tall.

My first order has been sent this morning, looking forward to having a go with the brushes on them
-
I think i might dip my toe into this period. Time to do some reading. Lovely figs

What ever happened with these figures. I went to the site & it was shut down.
-
I just checked and after initially getting the 404 error it is now working - I changed the direct link to the Taiping page and went direct to home. The Taiping link worked from there.
The second batch of the Taiping range are now available and I received my order two days after placing approx. a fortnight ago.

I have been absent far too long and am just catching up with the posts. Having purchased a new pc earlier in the year I got round to starting to swap the web site stuff over and had to amend some of the internal links. The site seems to be working alright now.
-
404 error for me with the link above. MrMiggs, might you post a new link below for all of us who are so interested?

I still get the 404 from my original bookmark but the site is working fine
