Title: 6mm MONT ST JEAN Released from Leven Miniatures
Post by: levenminiatures on September 30, 2014, 09:51:22 PM
We have just released a new 6mm Napoleonic model in the form of Mont St Jean farm, Belgium - the first of three new models due out to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Waterloo.

Mont St Jean farm is situated on the main road from the Waterloo battlefield to Brussels, and was used by Wellington as a hospital to treat the wounded on that day.

This rendered stone representation of Mont St Jean is hand cast in a paint-friendly ivory coloured polyester resin and consists of 7 main pieces, and one which is optional, and has a built footprint of roughly 175 x 125mm.

The model consists of the follwing pieces: Front with entrance gate & tower, Barn, Farmers House, Main Court, Outbuilding, Small Left Gate, Well and Small barn porch

There is some confusion as to the original location of the Farmers House and the Main Court so siting them is down to the users choice. It has not been confirmed that the small barn porch was in place during the campaign or is a post Waterloo addition and is therefore its use is optional.

Other 6mm Napoleonic models due to be released in the near future include Papelotte and Hougoumont.
