I've been working on a Grav APC for a while, in homage in part to the M113 but also to my dear chum Akula.
I wanted something really chunky, and which looked big enough to carry a squad or two of 28mm figures.

The base casting is simple, the idea being that the kit comes with lots of detail which you can lay out how you want and have the vehicle you'd prefer. So this is blocky and basic and could be used like this.

Or you could lay on a lot of detail.

Next up... Painting the beast.

You're getting good at this ;)
cheers

Thanks, although I do think I need to use 3D to stand a chance catching up with all these talented youngsters around. Even though I don't really like 3D, it's too cheaty... ::)
-
Nice work - you even got me in the photo ;)
-
Bloody lovely. :-*
Exactly as a grav tank should look - rugged, like it can take some abuse, some damage and protect it's crew and passengers. In fact, I'd say it is one of the best looking ones about.
-
Looks great! Is there a place that shows all the gun options you have that'll work for it, like those used in the last pic? Checked the catalog in your sig link, and didn't see anything of that sort. Looks like a solid platform to build on. :)
-
No it'll go in the catalogue over the weekend with all the other sci-fi. Here's a photo of the whole kit though, including an annoying little piece of white debris which I didn't notice until it was too late... >:(

Think I prefer the clean lines to all the sticky-out-gubbins that looks like it could get knocked off by a careless driver.
That's the technical term I think :~}
-
Looks pretty nice.

That's what L-plates are for.
Started throwing some paint at it.

I'm not happy with having the dots on the front of the missile launcher red any more, any colour suggestions?
-
Lemon yellow seems like the obvious choice there.
-
I agree I think I prefer it without the bits, but those bits look like they could be great for other things. :D
For the missiles I would say white.
-
Hmmm, thanks. Still dunno... :-[
-
Went for orange and threw some more paint at it...

I've managed to get quite a bit of dust on it so it needs a clean up before weathering.
-
And having cleaned it to weather it... a odd chore I know it's finished.

I got mine the other day and got to work on it a bit on Friday and today. Some WIP shots.

I wanted to keep it relatively simple and unfussy - and then I saw the vents. It came with three so I asked Phil if I could have another. I had an idea!
And the idea -

I have a possible weapon mount for the top as well, which is an Old Crow one. More pictures once that is in place!
-
OOh, that does work rather well. Phil needs to sort some components of that sort out, or else I'll print some up if anybody wants them. :D
-
Working on it already.
That's looking interesting to say the least... 8)

Very nice. alas I'm saving pennies for Salute, but expect a PM sometime in May!
