Thought the following minis would do quite well as fast, agile zombies, or "Dark Seekers" (from I am Legend).
I'm going through a grubby brown phase for my undead at the moment...

Middle two are from Heresy, the outer two are plastic GW Crypt ghouls with all the daft spikes trimmed off.

nice. really does shine a good light on those horrid GW figures.
-
Those look really great! The GW plastics go well with the HF with the spikey bits trimmed off... I'll have to try that myself! lol Have you looked at the ghouls by Crocodile Games yet? I think you will like those as well!

Croc ones are more Call of Cthulhu ghoul really but each to his or her own, nice use of the placcy ones Akula, nicely mix in with Paul M's Heresy sculpts.

I've had my eyes on those Heresy ghouls for a while, too, I initially discarded the GW ones as not useable, but now I have to reconsider... a swift job with razor saw and craft knife, and - alacazam - you have something worth painting... 8)

Pardon my ignorance but are the GW figures an old model or are they in the current ranges . I think they look quite usable.

They are the newest 'Crypt Ghouls', plastic :)

What colours were used for those ghouls, btw.?

Ooh , I think I will have to make an undercover raid on the local GW shop (dont want my workmates to catch me) ;)

Well you can redeem yourself by dropping into:

and buying the other ghouls that are featured then can't you?

I most certain shall... later this year :?
I promised myself to make an order at Obelisk before buying other minis - and then Heresy and Hasslefree is in line :)
-
Thanks for the Heresy link some other nice looking figs there . I will have to order some later on when I've made a dent in my lead pile.
EDIT. hmm maybe I can't wait as I've found my Doctor Who figure. :-*

Which one? :)

White undercoat, then a mix of Foundry slate grey and tan (ie a light browny-grey), and then a wash with citadel devlan mud.
Embarassingly quick to do.

Thanks, gave me a few ideas I have to try out (have a legion of Zs to do - lots of opportunities for experimenting ;D )

PS I visited the GW shop ,braved the twenty questions, resisted the urge to punch the spotty faced twit on the nose while the manager (whos known me for about 8 years) watched on in amusement . Bought the ghouls but totally forgot to ask about bases as I was in a hurry to leave the bloody place. :-[
Probobly should start a new thread as I'm getting off topic.

lol
Happily due to my son's love of 40k and my obsession with Lord Of The Rings, I'm at the stage where all the staff at my local GW know me and we actually have very grown-up [well, for gamers] chats about all sorts of things. It was grim for the first few months, though :-[
They should come with the 25mm round slottas, BTW, as Argonor said. If you're lucky there may be extra ones in the box. I have a big bagful of spares, from the single figure LOTR blisters having 4 bases included. So it's not all bad news lol

I wanted some round ones , but have plenty of spares for the moment so wont have to revisit the shop for awhile .
The Ghouls look really good with lots of spare parts and extra heads . I'm going to have fun putting them together.
