You get smash.
Sweet! Love the backgrounds you built. I use Pulp Alley, but SSS looks interesting. How does it flow?
Those are really nice! :o
Seconded on SSS.
can't wait to see yer other gangs
Nice work! And a great choice of miniatures too 8)
Yes you do. His meat club hurts. I know from experience. Joe also has a way with dogs, they seem to flock to him.
Great photos Vlad! They really show off your cool minis. I'm excited to see more :D
Cheers
Matt
they are early sculpts by Kev White.
The militia turned out well. I do like their rusty metal jackets.
Hi folks
Hadn't commented yet as I was so enjoying the SSS plaudits i didn't want to risk bringing on any brickbats lol
Matt, all I know about those minis is that they are early sculpts by Kev White. Glad they've found a use.
Oh and welcome VR :)
Your first gang is simply amazing in every thing background story, figure selection and painting more please!
once I get off my butt and paint.
Really nice selection for the second band. Really give that rag-tag feel.
Loving it! Can't wait to see more! :D
:-* well done Pete.
Cracking figures there and the stories are so cool. I have nothing near that for my figures.
Man Big Richie came up well. What a machine you have there. 8) 8) 8) zerk is pretty cool too, ooh ooh and Ductape Mic sounds like a roll of laughs.
You have 3 awesome bands of 'trouble' makers.
Cheers
Matt.
This is astounding!
Cheers, Bero! It took me forever to get his colour right, which was probably a good thing. Gave me more time to unite their stories.Your ability to bring forth some of the wildly divergent personality found in a long running RPG character group into a cohesive wargames unit.
Cheers! Which parts in particular are outstanding to you?
Quite a nice bunch of characters!
Really cool! A nice depth of personality to them too. =3
Nice work!

Looking on the computer I just noticed that Jack has some heart embroidery on her trouser cuffs and hat band. You might be able to pick that out in gold or white. ;)
Nothing like blowing up the miniature 300% to find extra bits you hadn't properly observed before hahahaha
cheers
Matt
Sweet mother of... monkeys! Everyone loves monkeys and these are mighty fine.
Monkeys are mad! 8) 8) 8) robot monkey is mad, perhaps after eating a certain fruit they turn metal. Like metal Mario? The toothbrush GS is a interesting idea it works quite well.
I'm sure these cheeky devils will be the end of many a band of scavengers.
Cheers
Matt.
You will always have uses for monkeys. Especially cyber-monkeys! :D
Also really like the look of these monkeys.
Eli is a Lead Adventure mini, Ash and Gary are TAG and not sure on the mercenaries, all via Silent Steve ;)
Cheers
Matt.
A single skull, do you jest Pete? ;) More skulls :D !
Looks really good, you have taken some very nice photo too to do it justice! :-* :-*
A very useful terrain piece sir.
Cheers
Matt
I'm sure the mercenaries are from the "Sabotage-Into the Dark" game from "The Figure Trader", long gone ;)
I really enjoyed reading your backgrounds for all these characters, and nice figures they are, too! :)
That turned out great Pete!
:-* :-* :-*
I like the effect you achieved on the propeller and the white nose cone! Very cool. Now there is a plane to go with your control tower! :)
Cheers
Matt

Hahaha brilliant BG's pete, loved the little stories of the mutagenic gang 8)
They turned out rather well mate!
Good to see you haven't dropped the brushes as of late (unlike me) Keep at it!
Cheers
Matt
The range is still available form Sergeant Major Miniatures (scroll down) - LINK (http://www.sgmm.biz/Science-Fiction_c_58.html)
:D
Fantastic stuff! What's the source on the figures you used for The Screamers?
:'(
Poor Mona
Pete, I really like those back stories, 8) ... it makes it so much harder to hurt them in game lol
Cheers
Matt
:-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
Sounds like a very good description of my 2 year old son.
A shishkebab and a yellow chicken walker, well done Pete, some great stuff there!
The blood on the yellow one is especially good, you've had a fair bit of practice with blood splatters hey, they certainly look pretty realistic.
Now for the main event: the screamers, a crazy, mutated gang who live to cause mayhem and spread their mutagenic gasses around.
Sounds like a very good description of my 2 year old son.
Lovely tones and your groundwork is excellent (which I'm sure you're aware of as you keep plugging it lol).
lol lol lol
Great figures and nice work Pete. 8)
Cheers
Matt
Lord of the Wind Dance, Baharroth is totally rocking Pete! :-* :-*
Stunning colours and blue tones with the red gems mate!
Cheers
Matt
Pete that rust looks amazing!!! So many shades of brown in there! 8)
:-* :-* :-*
You nailed that mate.
I'm terrified to meet him in the wastes!
Cheers
Matt
Love the dog. Wonderfully done.
The arms are tiny and hard to work with and the head was in two sections. There was no apparent reason for the head to be in two sections, but it was.By Yan Lo's Beard!
By Yan Lo's Beard!
Because they can!
I just got that dog to add to my post-apoc collection instead of using it for Warmahordes too. Cool figure.
One piece metals do have good points to them don't they Pete. One does not need a two part head on a 28mm figure :(
Cheers
Matt
Are these rules still available? The link on page one no longer works.
Very clever idea to use that set! Painting works well and you have done a lot of stuff.
Wow those look great. I went straight to buy that set after seeing it here. Luckily for me it was out of stock thus sawing me from myself - for a bit..
That tyre boy and pre-war junk seller are amazing! What a set for Post Apocalyptia! 8) 8) 8)
Grab the nuka-cola, get your pre-war Raybands and watch the atomic sunset. 8)
Cheers
Matt
I actually think your painted skin looks rather good!
Are these rules still available? The link on page one no longer works.
Scavenge skirmish survive or Pulp Alley?
Cheers
Matt
lol - deligtful painting.
I just picked up one myself - he/she is full of character in such a simple miniature.
A tyre could certainly KO in SSS.
A penguin?!? What in Post-Apocalyptia is that?!? It's brilliant is what. Hahaha, I am eager to hear 3 Dawg to sing tales of his adventures across the wastes.
Cheers
Matt
Cute.
Is he called Feathers McGraw?
Where was Tom on arm day? He needs to catch up. ;D
Cheers
Matt
Missed some of these updates. Wonderful stuff. Really love the gang of kids.
Nice job on the mech.
Brilliant minis, lots of character.
Looking good.
Looking great - the plumes on those helmets came out very nicely indeed.
Nice. I want moar, MOAR! NOW!!!!!! :D
"Arnie, we getting the band together again."
Nice stuff.
Nice.
Ooh nice additions Pete, the blue Eldar are really nice with the ochre brown bases, nice complimentary opposite colours. 8) 8) 8) the PJs look really well done.
Cheers
Matt
Great collection and project. :D I'm always envious when I see people being able to stick to projects and constantly add to them. The cool thing about post-apocalyptic things of course is that you can get a ton of different things in there. And it works! Even the penguin does! :D Great thread, thanks for sharing!
The Messenger, Gymp and Conan look great, well done saving the old models! The temple guard arm with the scales looks particularly mutie! I really like the graves too, it's cool having that sort of scatter terrain that tells a story without needing much explanation.
Dark glossy shell is a good choice - nicely done.
Finally, the real purpose for those strange GW models! lol
Great job!
You know, I would have been skeptical of a Tyranid making a good wasteland mutant, but I think that must mostly have to do with the typical purple paintschemes they get. Your's totally sells it! Nice work. :)
Hell, yeah! Long live the Goff Rockers! \m/ \m/
They look good. Will you add a twig in the middle of each one or just leave as is?
Or should that be 'leaf' it?
i would go for the twig option, break them off at about 35mm (ish) & blacken the tops.
Gives you a bit more cover & re-enforces the Post Apocalypse vibe.
Diamonds are nicely done!
I always liked that Exarch figure, it was one of the first my parents ever got me! All the recent paintjobs are really nicely done!
I didn't think to check out Pig Irons back pack kits, I guess I'll need to now ;)
That looks great; may need to copy it at some point.
The door is fantastic. Now to build the door frame! lol
Some nice additions - I'm loving that door too!
Nice idea for the Walker.
I love the stories and I love the figures, good updates ever chief.
Lots to love in this thread, very characterful. Great work! 👍
OOh Pete, those winged Eldar are amazing the colours and gems are spectacular! They look very equipped to the task.
I better avoid the field completely if they play!
All those latest figures look suitably dangerous. Well done!
Oh, I'm sure he means well... :o
A ruddy death claw?! Caw blimey, I might stay inside. :o
But my survivors are hungry, perhaps we can eat it?
Revs raiders are well equipped, they made sure to bring their Gus to the gun fight didn't they!!!
Nice paint on there pete, gives them a little more depth, they seem to be a little 2dimemsional than ideal, but.. they have the fallout look exactly so all is forgiven.
Power armour looks perfect! They came out great.
Power armour and Laz rifles? Oh man theres a real arms race going on here.
They look good Pete, bit soft on the detail, but 100% fallout style so cannot argue there. :)
Your rust weathering looks good
