Not sure if this is the correct forum for these but i will prob use some of the figs in the project foor EotD.
Painted the 6 of these last night for my planned Gangs of New York game. I quite enjoyed painting these figures.
These are first 6 figures that will make up my Gang of Natives or Bowery Boys. My Bill The Butcher will be getting a repaint to lead these guys into battle for the Five Points.
"Then may the Christian Lord, guide my hand, against your Roman popery!"
Virtual Armchair General figures are really nice. Some of the poses are a bit static but i really enjoyed painting the figures and the sculpting is good. The figures are made for Gangs of New York games and they have a quite a few in the range.
I'm glad i liked them as these are first figures ive bought from the US that got me stung for Tax annd add ons.
West Wind London mob figures are also very nice. I love the sculpts that West Wind produce. I bought these along with a load of figures for Empire of the Dead which i will also be playing at soome point once i get some stuff sorted. The West Wind figure is more chunky but I think it looks ook next to the VAG figures. Ive only painted 1 West Wind figure just now as i need i want them to have more weapons so im going to have a shot at the sculpting putting.

Sounds good :)

Lovely Brushwork!
-
Was on television tonight, watched the opening scene. Forgot how brutally violent it was.
I am tempted to do something similar. Maybe using LotOW or Mordheim.
-
A very interesting project! I hope to see much more in the future! :)
-
Lovely paintwork on these.
Gotta love those strides!
:-* :-*
I have a few fellas at the casters who are perfectly dressed for this, although they are armed with shooters.
:?
-
An interesting concept with much potential, many different ethnicities = lot's of mythological things/supernatural creatures immigrating to the new world.
London may be the trading center but New York is where you go for a fresh start.

Going to start work on5 points terrain board as well. These figures will be used to play test a new set of rules hopefully out next year.

Lovely! :-*
Don't forget the Mike Owen sculpted Brigade Games range either, it has some characters from the movie in it.

I have them. Painted them before but i have stripped them as i think i can paint them better now. They are a great range but sadly no Amsterdam figure.
-
When I did gony I found the odd wild west figure fit in quite well from the foundry bystanders, I cut off pistol and made some knives and such. The artizan billy the kid freebie could work on as Amsterdam

Perry miniatures has three packs of rioters from their ACW range that are perfect.
-
You gotta do some Tong, they are so versatile in so many genres, never mind the New York.
Brigade games also do a Chinese Laundry set that includes Mr Wu.
;)
Here is a link to mine, that Jeff965 painted for me...

Nice trousers. :)
I'm saying nothing.
-
Cheers guys. Im kind of disappointed with the waist coat on the smart dressed version of Bill. Tried to make it similar to the movie but didn't get good control on the design. I think i might paint it again in the burgundy.
-
These are best paint jobs I've ever seen these Brigade figures.
-
Lovely figures. Bill's handlebar mustache is magnificient!
-
Fantastic Additions keep up the good work ;)

Flags of War - you're a great painter, I'm also following your Turtle thread. Turtles vs. the Dead Rabbits perhaps?

Turtles finding themselves sent back in time to 1850's New York. I like it ha
-
Really well painted!
Terrain for this must be a tough nut to crack
-
Here is my 5 points board so far. Since these pics all the pavements have been dremel'd and the Paradise square has sand in the fenced area and undercoated.
Ill be using mostly sarissa buildings and ill prob make a few of the smaller ones like the Barbers on the rock.
-
I look forward to seeing this, makes me cry a little as had a pile of lead for doing something similar just never got round to finishing it off and had to flog it off to pay the divorce solicitor :'( :D ;D
