Some of you may have seen my Nile River Steamer in the pulp section, but before I built that, I built this ship, which is still my favorite of the two.
During a long lull in my painting and building, I had been trolling through old figures and pics and came across this model- as large as it is, it had been indeed lost amongst the clutter (and spider webs)- eek.
I remember White Dwarf put out a shipbuilding article (soon after I had finished this ship; I wish I had waited :)); Has anyone else build ships/craft for Warhammer? I'd love to see them!
Next shipbuilding project will be a 40mm scale Missouri River ferry (piloted by my great grandmother): http://bp2.blogger.com/_OegChr5Zg_s/RvA2CXm7CfI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/pvc6G0W4hhI/s1600-h/ferry.jpg Though I guess that belongs to the old west thread :)

That's amazing. 8)

Most beautiful gaming ship I´ve seen in years. Makes me want to finally start painting Spaniards and a Galleasse for Pirate games.

Beautiful! :-* Colourful, yet, at the same time, nicely understated. The sail pattern does remind me of a giant tablecloth, though! ;)

That must be some clutter you have there!
Brilliant ship. I love your 40mm stuff, so I can't wait to see your Missouri river ferry.

I should wring your neck for posting that picture. I've been yearning to build a medieval drummond since I was yeah tall.

It's not an area of history I'm exactly steeped in, but that gorgeous model puts me in mind of Lepanto. It looks built to fight the Turks, rather than Orcs.
They have dared the white republics up the capes of Italy,
They have dashed the Adriatic round the Lion of the Sea,
And the Pope has cast his arms abroad for agony and loss,
And called the kings of Christendom for swords about the Cross.
I love it, it's the tops.

'Drummond' is a Scotsman. I think you mean 'dromon'! :D

WOW!! :-* :-* :-*
You are my modeling hero! This is what I intended to build when I started my pirate project - a galley for my Maltese Corsairs!!
Beautiful. WOW, WOW and double WOW!!
My most favorite model to date.

With almost any praises given, I can only add my applaud for the painted decoration and flags. It looks so darn real! Great job!

More praise: All hail to the Master of the High Seas!
