I came across this whilst looking for some Hessian uniforms at the weekend.

As I have no German I'm not exactly sure what's on here , but so far I've found Knotel's Uniformkunde and another set of Plates covering the French army in the 19thC.  There's lots more in there. Hope others find it useful.

Could a german speaker add an overview please?

Go to Inhalt,which is Contents. Then proceed down the line of the myriad of knotel,ruhl and other uniform plates . The Oestereicher button means Austrian section. I hope this helps.

The Grosser Generalstabwebsite is a well-known resource : I've used it on a regular basis over the years and have always found it extremely useful.
