Title: Pulp Figures - Pulp Painting
Post by: Chris Abbey on January 15, 2015, 02:45:28 PM
(http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/WebRoot/Namesco/Shops/950003459/MediaGallery/Categories/TerraBlocks/TerraBlock_Gallery/Pulp_Figures_Rugged_Sons_of_the_Empire_b,Medium.jpg)

Sally 4th is very please to announce that we are now stocking Pulp Figures.
At the moment we have the PHP range available. As soon as more become available in the UK we will be adding them to our store together with the best of miniatures we can source from other Pulp manufacturers.

We have a number of special deals that we are offering, which we believe are a little different. We are big fans of clear basing, so we will provide free clear or standard MDF bases for all Pulp Figures purchased.

We will also be providing a free 70mm Warchest and Insert to all customers who purchase 10 packs of Pulp Figures from us.

As we are huge fans of Pulp gaming in general and Pulp Alley in particular we will be endeavoring to get some Pulp Figures painted each week and use them to make some Pulp Alley character cards that we will post to this thread.

Here's a close up of Carnahan, the second figure from Rugged Sons of Empire set and a fine rugged fellow to boot. He to is relaxing in the Terra Block club by conducting along to some MOzart with his trusty .45.

Might a suggest a quote from the frenetic Billy Wilder/James Cagney romp, "One, Two, Three"

Quote
Comrade Borodenko:

"We do not need you! If we want Coca-cola, we invent it ourselves!

Valerik

"This piece must be played molto furioso. Suggested speed: 110 miles an hour - on the curves - 140 miles an hour in the straightways. "

EDIT: My miserable spelling

I've just finished up painting this pack of 3 miniatures from Artizan Thrilling Adventurs Range (PLP589 - Scotland Yard Detectives) http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/epages/950003459.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950003459/Products/PLP589 (http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/epages/950003459.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950003459/Products/PLP589)

Although labbelled as Scotland Yard Detectives, these are very clearly based in Hastings.

My plan's are to develop these as a League for playing a Vice Alley campaign set during the war on the South Coast.
I will probably have both Sam & Milner as sidekicks.
Any thoughts on perks / abilities welcome.

Available now... Pulp Figures Gangland Justice, Drawing Room Detectives & Western / Mexican Revoloution

http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Pulp-Figures (http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Pulp-Figures)

The latest batch of Pulp Figures to be available are the awesome 1920's Gangster Range..

The Drawing Room Detectives, this is one of my favourite packs. The figures from it featured in our Pulp Alley Cluedo game and the 'Clues' make fantastic 'plot points' for Pulp Alley...

And finally the long awaited for Western / Mexican Rev range...

Foyles war was certainly one of my favourite TV series. It's production values were amazing.
I currently have three German Aircrew on my work bench to paint up, then I will be doing a Pulp Alley Game with Foyle & sidekicks backed up by Home Guard searching for the airmen with the radar jamming knowledge before he is picked up by the German E-boat crew.

Don't forget the pulp alley cards are available from Sally 4th web-site as a free download!

I've just painted up the excellent box set of Moonshiners from The Chicago Way.
I'm planning to use them as a league in a Pulp Alley / Vice Alley campaign as well as a gang in TCW.
They are posing in front of a Sally 4th Shotgun Shack that we released a couple of years ago and seemed quiet fitting.

I have just started painting up some miniatures for a French Foreign Legion League to use in Tomb of the Serpent campaign.

This is my leader, Capitaine Ambre Dubos.
He is a Commander, Inspiring and a Tactician!

He is a miniature from the Thrilling Tales Renegade Legionaries pack. Full details on our Tomb of the Serpent collection page. http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Tomb-of-the-Serpent-Campaign (http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Tomb-of-the-Serpent-Campaign)
