The other I played my first (ever!) game of Infinity – despite collecting their miniatures since, well, 2005. ::) This got me enthused to add finishing touches to my Yu Jing Sectorials, which had lingered in my half-painted pile for two years.
Went for a slightly different, less fancy colour scheme as well as a no-nonsense basing style, all for the sake of easy & fast painting. Works from a distance greater than in those photos. :D

These are the first miniatures painted in almost a year or so, and I'm still left with no dedicated painting area (let alone a photo setup). At some point one or the other model might get a refinement or added detail. For now I'm just happy to get them onto the table. Hope you approve. :)

Very nice. I need to get a game in with my sectorial force.

Nicely done. The base work looks great. :D
Nice colour choices too.

Those look great. In-game pix?

Brilliant work

Nice work. I really like the colors and design on the pants. It's a nice transition with the blending too. A friend of mine picked up the starter set and is working on painting the minis. I'm a little intimidated by painting them myself, but have been looking at the Haqqislam forces. I've heard good things about the game.

Very good, I like the colour schemes and the bases are entic enough to fit most places 8)

Many thanks all! :)
Dentatus, unfortunately no. However, just take a look at a random AAR played on the starter box terrain, 'cause that's what we were using. Visually lacking perhaps, but great to get people started.
Pizzagrenadier, I recommend at least trying to paint the minis yourself. If nothing else my paintjobs are proof that one doesn't need an airbrush license or something to touch these figures. ;) I truly admire results from people investing a lot of effort into advanced painting techniques. But that's not for me. And nobody should feel discouraged by a mere 28mm model, how finely modelled it may be.
Besides, Haqqislam is a good choice, lovely models, painted some myself (inglorious self-promotion (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=51958.0)).
jimbibbly, hope 'entic' means something nice. :D As much as I like elaborate base designs I prefer a bit of versatility.

I think he probably meant generic.
I really like the trousers on the last group of guys mate. All of it's nice though great work.

The Infinity figures really are lovely sculpts, aren't they?
I've got ten Haqqislam figures on the painting table behind me just waiting for me to get off this damn computer and break out the brush. Must at least get the basecoat down tonight!
I like the bases, too, interesting and generic without being either fussy or boring.

Thanks both, much appreciated. :)
The models were painted for gaming purposes, and given that Infinity definitely needs quite a few markers I've also started preparing the lot. I'm using a method apparently fairly widespread among Infinity players, and thus there are a number of tutorials out there. You could even watch this video here (http://youtu.be/5ZCtHBeHMXo) which explains the process perfectly fine.
Therefore I may limit myself to a picture illustrating my own bit of handicraft.

- One could well use marker sheets provided within the rulebook (or rather a copy thereof) or on the Infinity website. If you got the starter set, the ready-made counters in there are a perfect start, too. I got me some custom sheets (from here (http://inf-dice.ghostlords.com/markers/)) and had them printed on 200g paper.
- For neat results a 1" circle punch – other sizes and forms are available, of course – is of great help. Just go for the punch!
- The real trick's done, however, by epoxy circle stickers (non-wargamers use these for DIY jewelry). They seal off the printed side of the markers and make them very durable – you could happily bend and tear these with minor damage, if you're so inclined. ::)
Quite happy with the results, and perhaps it's useful to people here, too. Now to get another hundred or so of those stickers…

Useful for me. Just didn't know about the acrylic bead things. Has given me a few ideas. Thx for the post.

Nice work Doc :-*

Nice work altogether. The domaru are my favourite models too. I had my Yu Jing painted last year after a few years in the leadpile. Infinity figures have that special something that makes the painting take a while :)
Also, thanks for the marker tip, have to try that.
