To Commandar Krause of the Dark Lion Space Marine Chapter
Ork forces have landed on the planet Landis V. While this world is not of particular importance to the empire, reports have been received that show these orks have been able to build titans in a very short amount of time. All reports indicate that only small titans have been completed. While these ork monstrosities are no match when compared to the glorious and miraculous machines of the Titan Legions, the speed at which these have been constructed is of great concern. The empire does not want this clan of orks to take their titans off Landis V and possibly threaten a more vital world.
As such, your force is being dispatched to Landis V with orders to destroy the ork titans as well as the ork forces.
Supreme Commander Darius
Quote of the Day: Through the destruction of our enemies do we earn our salvation!

I ran a game of GASLIGHT for my friends recently, but instead of the Victorian era, I set it in the 40K universe. We used Epic 40k models and had a truly epic battle. The Marines were very outnumbered, but still managed to achieve their objectives.
Here are a few pictures from the battle, but you can see more on my blog. http://gamingandshooting.blogspot.com/2015/02/epic-gaslight-aar.html (http://gamingandshooting.blogspot.com/2015/02/epic-gaslight-aar.html)

Just wanted to repeat myself:
Had great fun, but had to bow out early. Good to see how it ended, even if Krause DIDN'T fall on his aquiline nose. ;->=
I would sniff a bit at not being mentioned in dispatches for 'first blood' if I'd done any better on the left side.
I will say that the forgiving of the odd wound made a heck of a difference. As orks, Sir Randall and I should have been MUCH more strenuous about engaging only when we could mass fire.
Having our boys strung out certainly had us cut up piecemeal.
The pansies just plain evaporated.
All of which takes nothing away from Bill's win. Old school, 'he earned it.' *full stop*
"The winning player isn't always the better player." Likely as not, though...

I had an excellent time. Once again Krause's inspiring leadership and excellent tactics prevail.

This is a wonderful epic space marine battle. This is one of the best games ever although I would never have considered using the gaslight rules to play it. Your table set up is superb. ;D Please post any future games you play.

Well that is super cool! Will have to have a proper read of the battle report a bit later. Also I love the thought for the day too, very old-school :)
